Hi Whychat -

I know you talk to many different people so I don't expect you to remember me and my situation. I have been working on this for over a year and you have been helping me get this med CA removed. TU will not delete or remove this item. It is now showing as a 'paid' collection on my CR. I have complained to my state consumer groups and the AG....yet, the CA remains on my report.

The CA has not verified to me or even responded to me with any information on my one CMRR request.

I called TU today to have my currect address corrected as it has been listed incorrectly on my CR. I was transferred to 4 different CSRs and finally routed to a "Priority Handling Dpt'. I asked the CSR why this occurred. She asked if I had ever written a letter to the AG? I said 'yes'. She said consumers who complain to the AG's office are moved to this department as their files are housed in this department.

I'm wondering if my account is 'flagged' now which is why I have had no success in getting this removed. Have you ever heard of this?

I was planning on restarting the HIPPA dispute process from the beginning...but, now I'm not sure.

There are several 'errors' on the account pertaining to this medical collection on my CR. The CA is listed as a 'Factoring Company'. I've read out here that this could be a violation - but, I need to learn more and 'how' it is a violation. Could this be another avenue to dispute and get the item removed?

Account Type: Open Account

Responsibility: Individual Account

Loan Type: Factoring Company Account

Bal: $0

Pay Status: Payment after charge off; collection

Orig Bal: $198

Remark: disputer resolved; customer disagrees

The dates on my TU CR are wrong. It shows date placed for collection as 1/2006 -- it was earlier than that; also, date closed as 12/2007 and date paid 11/2007. Date update is 2/2008. My actual ER visit to the hospital was July 2003.

I've never paid the CA. I paid the OC with the 'insert A' letter and the deposit instructions on the MO. I confirmed deposit was made by the OC.

Do you have any suggestions? I don't know what else to do. It's slated to fall off my CR on 6/2010. The HIPPA dispute does not seem to be working for this situation. Should I try to dispute based on inaccuries in the account listing?

Any suggestions or help you can provide to me would be most appreciated. Thanks again for your time and attention.

I don't remember how long ago it was that I helped you.

I have added some additional letters to the HIPAA letter program in the past year or so.

If you haven't tried the following, give it a shot.

Dispute again with the medical dispute letter to TU;

If verified, send the reporting CA this; ( if they are reporting it as a paid collection)

and as soon as you have the green card back, send the CRA this;

Hi WhyChat,

Thanks for your response. I will try your suggestions and send this newer variation and see what happens.

Regarding the fact that my TU account is now listed with their "Priority Handling Dept."....have you ever heard of this before? It's bizarre. It sounds like a way TU legally "flags" your account without actually flagging it. The regular CSRs were unable to even access my account...only this "special" department can do that. Odd.....
