I made a boo-boo last month and made a purchase with my visa check card that over drew my account by $3.00(the bank paid the item) and caused a NSF fee of $35.00 to appear on my e-statement for the month. I made a deposit to cover the $38.00 3 days after I realized this had occured. The CSR rep at the banks main 800 number told me that I should be ok but I'm wondering if this will show up in Chexsystem or not..??

It can yes ..it all depends on the bank. I know quite a few people in the same situation that had accounts that were reported, they never knew it and kept the accounts until later when they decided to close the account in good standing because they were moving away etc and needed a new local account. Later they tried to open a new account and found they were reported for the same situation even though the bank

1. never told them

2. allowed the account to remain open until they closed it

So yes it is possible depending on which bank. Some banks report immediately for NSFs even if they are take care of immediately. REDICULOUS BUT TRUE

the debit card would not report but because the debit card purchase caused and overdraft in the account, the bank could still report to chexsystems as NSF if they choose to. What bank is it?
