Generally they will deny you. A few have been approved. I really think it depends on what the report says

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering about Citizens' verifying info that is in Chex. The info is about 3 years old. They are reporting it under the name Charter One.

yea they used to be on my list... some do have luck with them but others do not so I removed them

I was in Chex with an unpaid overdraft, had just had my new National City account that I had just opened closed by the bank for the same reason (in the most unpleasant way), and Citizens let me open a checking account with no restrictions.
