Why Chat,

I've got two deletions so far with the HIPAA letter process, and for this, I thank you.

I have a situation where I went to a medical center for treatment (an emergency walk-in clinic)

The doctor that handled the treatment has since left, and focused on his individual practice.

My question then is: for the limited endorsement, can I change the "for deposit to Dr. Foo only" to "for deposit into Medical Center account only"

Thanks

Have you sent the medical dispute letter??

Have you had a FULL verification from the reporting CA??

It is premature to ask about how the money order should be paid unless and until you obtain FULL verification of the account.

I doubt very much that IF you get complete and total verification that it will have anything except the Medical Center's name as OC.

yes, I've recieved full verification. the verification includes the name of the facility as well as the actual doctors name.

The other two HIPAA accounts I've taken care of also had full verification which included the facility as well as doctor, and I endorsed to the doctors name. Since the doctor isn't there anymore, I was more wondering if I should do the endorsement to the medical center, or mail it to the doctors new facility instead.

Not sure if I'm asking my question clearly.

HMMM- well since the charge was made at the time he was working there, do it this way;Make the money order out to "Name of Medical Center, Dr. So and So Account" do the endorsement;

"for deposit only (name of medical center, account of name of Dr.)"

They probably have some method of getting his payments to him, if not they will endorse it and send it to him and he can deposit it in his account. ( This is a dual endorsement, similar to what might be found on insurance checks)
