I have some medical bills on my credit report, about $1500 total. Not so bad. Now, the one bill for $400 I do not believe is my debt. I wish I had found this website earlier, but unfortunatly, I disputed it incorrectly as "already paid". I got a letter from the company to pay the debt, but I wrote a letter back and explained that it was not my debt. I don't know exactly how to procede with getting this removed from my credit report now... I pulled all 3 credit reports a couple of weeks ago & this one only appears on 2 of them (equifax & experian). This is a CA btw.

My second question is regarding the other open medical bills I have. They are with a CA, they're all the same CA & they're all from the same trip to the hospital. (You know how hospitals bill...). I want to get these all paid off, but I don't have the money to pay $1100 at the moment. So, I was planning on paying them off as I had extra money, starting iwth the smaller accounts first. 4/6 of them are for 100-150 a piece, other two are for larger amounts. Should I send a letter to the company getting them to agree to remove the items as I pay them off before sending any money?

Thanks for your help.

Opt out

Delete old addresses if possible

Send any CRA where any MEDICAL account, valid or not is reporting THIS: ( you can list the accounts, but make sure they MATCH the CRA you are sending the dispute to)

http://whychat.5u.com/hipaadisp.html

IF they are completely verified by the reporting CA with correct account information, you can then pay them to the OC with the HIPAA letter insert "a"

If you check the link within the insert "a" paragraph you can find the usual and ordinary amount that you should pay.

If you do NOT get a correct and valid "validation" from the reporting CA on ANY medical account that is over 4 years old and NOT from a hospital or ambulance/rescue service you can send the reporting CA THIS:
