WhyChat I am confused about the hippa process. I have a valid debt which I disputed online before being aware of the hippa process. You wrote to me that because I did it this way I have no documentation to attach to the hippa letter. In your directions when I do the hippa letter to the original creditor I attach insert A B or C but it doesn't say anything about attaching documentation with the hippa letter. At what point in the hippa process do I include documentation from a dispute.

I think I could dispute this by letter as well even though I disputed online. Or is it ok to pay the original creditor with the hippa letter and insert since I know the debt is valid.

I suggest you start from scratch and dispute to the CRA using the medical dispute letter.

If you wish to pay the OC WITHOUT doing another written dispute, and there is a problem, i.e. the CA is notified of the payment, you would have NO copies of your prior disputes to use in a HIPAA complaint.
