I have a couple questions I can't find the dumbed down answers too. For some reason I feel like I am missing the blinking sign where all these answers are...

1) Opt-out....

I have a couple questions/concerns regarding opt-out. First of all, How do you do it (just opt-out through each of the CRA's? online/phone?)...

2nd: does getting rid of old addresses help at all, even if the collection is attached to your most recent address?

3rd: Does opting out mean I am opting-out of credit card offers? Currently the preselected offers are the best thing I have coming, and I don't want those to stop... Is it a necessary trade-off or can I select what I am opting-out of?

2) ink color....

why is the color and style (italics) of how you write on the envelope so important? Also, are you just supposed to address the envelope like that, or is the whole letter supposed to be hand-written?

3) I incorrectly disputed on the phone a medical bill reporting on equifax. I just did this 2 weeks ago and they already sent back verified... Should I wait a little longer before sending the proper letter that Why Chat has shown us? or I can send now...

Thanks so much

I would first opt out and remove old addresses if you haven't done so and then send the medical dispute letter.
