There was a medical bill that appeared on my credit report from the state of Nevada. I have not been to the state of Nevada so I disputed it with the agency and it was removed from my report. Now, it has popped up with a different agency and they have put it back on my report again. I called and I told them that it was NOT mine and the collection agency will not listen!

How can I get this resolved? I am pulling my hair out with this one. By the way, I live in Indiana.

You should opt out and make sure your reports have no other "errors" such as addresses that are not/were not yours, or inquiries from creditors you do not recognize.

The most common USE of ID theft is for medical treatment for illegal aliens.

Send a WRITTEN dispute to the CRA's ( Credit Reporting Agency)that are reporting this as follows:

You dispute THIS medical account this way:

Dear CRA,

My name is xxxxx xxxxxx , my SS # is xxx xx xxxx.

I am sending this dispute certified mail # xxxx to make sure you receive it.

I have no knowledge or records of account # xxxxx on my report # xxxxx.

Please advise me as to the name and address of the medical provider, the date and type of service, and to whom the service was provided, as I believe I have been the victim of ID theft.

If you can obtain this information, I also would need the name of the person providing this data, and the manner in which it was provided in order that I may pursue further legal options .

Very truly yours,

xxxxxx

Send THIS medical letter dispute CMRR ( certified mail, return receipt)
