Hi,

I have been disputing a medical claim for awhile now. I followed all of whychat's advice (thank you!) and in the end I just ended up paying the thing (only $150 - but the principle of thing kills me.) Anyway back in October I received a letter stating that the account was sent to collections prior to HIPAA standards BUT, andI quote, "we contacted CBCS and had them permanently remove this charge from them and have asked them to remove it from your credit record as per our physicians."

Now, when I checked my credit report it is still showing up on equifax with a balance of $150 and a date of 10/2005. (four months later!)

How do I handle this? Do I send a copy of my letter stating it CBCS was told to remove it or do I go another route? It is not showing on the other reports.

Thanks! I can't wait to get this over with!
