Hi I suddenly have a decent score on EQ...however, i still have two charge offs.

My DHs EQ report is SPOTLESS. Can anyone tell me if there is a place in Dallas area to refinance a car that uses only EQ?????

I need this fast, im also applying for a mortgage in about 30 days, but feel like i need to do this too while my scores are this high (could be temporary..long story).

What does USAA pull?? Thanks

USAA pulls EQ...

I found that in the creditpulls database by the way...

I highly advise against doing ANYTHING prior to getting a mortgage. Could ruin your chances of getting it. I waited until I got home from the closing table to apply for anything, which I went on an app spree.

ok..i was just old on the credit board with a huge score increase (its probably a bit temporary) that i should refinance my 18% car since i still owe 17k on it.

But ok, i will wait:) house is more important (but sick of that 635.00 car payment!)

Hold on, I could be wrong, while I'm thinking of it.

Is this house being built?? If so, then yeah, refi the car...

If its not and you will close in a matter of weeks of getting a preapproval, then you should hold off, until you have those keys in your hand.

No, I'm not building, im buying pre owned. I havent put mine up for sale, but will within 3 weeks (at the most) It could take days to months to sale.

So i guess i should wait??

you have to decide whitch is more important the house or the car.

if you would qualify for the house without the refi, I personally would leave it alone until I walked over the threshold with MY keys in MY hand.

If would be likely that with a new mortgage reporting you would get a score boost thereby increasing the likehood of an automobile loan approval at a lower APR more to your liking.

If your doing a refi -- Than IMO there's nothing wrong with doing it before the house closing. I assume your payments will go down which will help your DTI ratio even more for the house. Plus installment accounts don't really have a big impact on your credit score so you might not even see decrease on your credit with the account closing.

I know you said your EQ was the best but we just refi-ed our vehicle. We have a one year old bk7 and we used Patelco (they pull EX). Got 4.2% for 36 months :( We got the money really quickly if you just stay on them about processing. We live in GA and they are our of CA so we used one of their satellite branches for picking up the check. You can check all this info out on their website. All of this is of course only if you decide it will be okay to do this while trying for your mortgage. Good luck with both! Also, when we joined we just left the affiliation blank and they filled it in with "older Americans" or something like that. They really do not have strict regulations for joining and they have been terrific!

I also suggest Patelco Credit Union. Processing was within a week or so.

You can choose the terms you want 60 months or 84 months etc.I was paying $753 now down to $483. Big difference!!! With your Experian score, you'll get approve. I wasn't approve initially after I wrote a Reconsideration Letter they approve me. DH and I are 10 months post BK7 score are mid 600's.
