I have 3 CCs that are eligible for CLIs in Nov/09.

I also want to add the Jareds/Kays/JB trifecta to my reports

to assist with utilization.

Anyone have any thoughts the best order (CLIs first, etc.)

Also, should I do all of these on the same day, before the INQs show?

Or will they show immediately?

I currently have 6 toy accounts and I'd like to start getting into

the 4 digit Credit limits.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Tips? Hints?

1) Hard inquiries show immediately

2) I personally would start with the CLI's as you may be able to get that done without hard pulls. It just depends on the lenders.

3) I would then do the cards in the order of "which cards do I want most" first and then weight that with "which lenders are most sensitive to inquiries." you can get a feel for the second part of that by going through the credit pulls database.

I would wait no less than 6 months to ask for a CLI

...maybe even 12 months

SINCE WE ARE IN CLD/TOTAL CLOSURE/APR JACKAGE MODE FOR THE MOST PART

Existing Cards:

HSBC and Walmart, I've had for 8 months, with no CLI requests.

Macys I've had since Jan/09.

The new accounts I want are Jared/Kays/JB for the utilization.

From what I've read, they arent too sensitive to INQs.

I've heard that all HSBC CLI requests are hard INQs

I believe I can request a soft pull @ Macys by requesting a GLI.

Anyone know about Walmart/GEMB?

You're right about HSBC a CSR told me that all requests for CLI require a Hard.

Then you want to choke on SOCK LINT

A CLI is a reward for me using your card instead of another bank's card

WAL MART (GE MONEY BANK) NEVER A HARD

Small ones (under $300)...but they add up over the years

Last one I got was $150

Be careful with Macy's. I got transferred to a supv and then a credit analyst who promised me no hard when I requested a GLI last week...next morning....there was a hard on experian. I was pissed but they are refusing to remove it. It just means their card goes in the sock drawer instead of my wallet when I go christmas shopping this year.

Seriously GEORGE it's BS I've been with them stuck at $300 for almost 2 years!

"The credit limit is USELESS...increase it so I can use the account"

Try for a couple other cards in the next 12 months and then DUMP THEM

Hopefully you will get credit limits of $1,000+ on the new cards

Macys is the worst for me..

Opened the account with a whopping $100 CL.

6 months later, requested a GLI and got another $100

for a total of a $200 credit limit. (talk about can kiss my A$$).

Then, last month, they nuked the $100 they gave me and

dropped me to $100 again.

I think I'm going to cut it up and burn the pieces, rather

than sock drawer it. The account will stay open, but frankly

I'd rather not use it after being treated like that after 12 months!

of perfect history with them.

They're morons apparently.

CUT THE CARD UP AND TAPE IT TO A LETTER

ADVERSE ACTION NOTICE (on the outside of the envelope)

BIG RED BLOCK LETTERS

Poor performance in the credit limit department

Feel free to close the account

PLEASE REPORT TO THE BIG 3 CRA's "ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER"
