  1. Congrats on your second vehicle....
  2. Congratulations!!!!!!!!
  3. well seeing that I work @ a Credit Union you should take the offer; we offer the same option to our members just before we file Civil Action on them. FYI last month we filed 40 small claims suites and we gave all them the option to convert their balance to a signature loan
  4. That is a really good rate, the Credit Union where I work offers 3.99% for our repos but you have to have a 640 or above.
  5. Thanks I have asked several dealers that come in to the Credit Union where I work and they all say it depends on what I am buying. LOL that's kinda what I said, just worded it a little differently. I figured that ok well I know what to expect, is it the norm to have the dealer to value the trade up front on what they will give me for the car before I start test driving?
  6. Thanks I have asked several dealers that come in to the Credit Union where I work and they all say it depends on what I am buying.
  7. MarvBear, when trading your vehicle in is it hard to get Clean Trade/Clean Retail from the dearlership or do most dealers give Rough Trade even though your vehicle is not rough? We are upside down $1200.00 and we do have $1500.00 to put down however thats if they give us clean loan. Thanks
  8. Thanks to all that responded, DH heard from them today approved for $29,000 once we pick the car out I will update the rest of the information leaning towards a Nissan Maxima .
  9. Thanks MarvBear.
  10. Does anyone know how long it takes to get approved for an auto loan with NFCU? Thanks for your response!
  11. Well seeing that I work at a credit Union I say go the credit Union route. With your credit scores and proof of income you should have no problems getting approved and based on their matrix you should be an A now as long as you DTI is in line you should be good to go. Also must Credit Unions rates stay the same so you don't have to worry about sneaky increases. I know where I work we have 3 rates for our credit cards C=12.49 B= 9.9 & A= 7%.
  12. Well they gave DH an increase in September from $200.00 -$500.00 then we went looking for furniture last month when they had there end of the furniture sale so we saw a sectional that we liked and called to see if they would increase his limit even though he just hit the luv button a month earlier they asked him a few question like how much did he make and how long has he been on his job and they came back with $2500.00 limit. Now we made sure that we told them we were wanted to buy some furniture. So maybe if you tell them you are wanted to make a big purchase it may help
  13. I work @ a Credit Union and we do monitor member debits card for their protection.
  14. DH went from $500.00-$1,000 as well he decided this month to close the card because it wasn't growing with him then I went on this site last week and found the threads, and was like lets pull your account up and low & behold there was the limit increase, he got the letter in the mail yesterday. It may have something to do with the holiday season & that tv financing that they are offering till 11-14-09 they want people to buy a lot of tv's but don't give in to the temptation be strong fellow target card holders
  15. I know at the credit union where I work we wouldn't turn you down, I know a lot of credit unions feel comfortable with member that are credit challenge to have their first loan secure and it helps to establish a realtionship with the credit union as well.
