i have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for accessline to list me in 411, but i have a dandb # for my corp and have lines with ups, viking, nebs and uline. can anyone tell me what credit i can get while i wait for 411 to be listed- i dont want to wait 3 to 4 weeks for 411- then another 3-4 weeks for dandb profile to be created. i would like to have as many tradlines reporting as i can get while i wait this 411 thing out. i dont have credit builder. i know there are alot of sources listed here, but none of them seem to address this exact issue. thank you for any input

Staples reports without being listed with 411.

Staples might report but they are getting picky about offering accounts to people who they cant verify through 411.

i am seeing a pattern develop here- it looks like i am stuck with what i have for now and am sol on any others (unless i want to take my chances with staples) until i get 411 huh. oh well i guess i will just have to be patient- i thank everyone for their input.

Zoom-

apply anyway just for fun and see what happens. Worse they can say is no and maybe they will even say yes. I have learned it kinda depends on the day and the mood of the person taking the application and if they have rules set in stone. You dont get dings on your credit with business credit like you do personal so keep trying. Ive been trying to get Lowes for a month now..... arrggggg but they say keep applying so i will again.

Let us know how it works!!

so theoretically i can apply for credit at 10 places today, be declined and have no ill effects on my soon to be report? if so, thats pretty cool. is there anything that i can do wrong on a business report- (other than pay late, not pay or give a pg)? sounds very low risk- here i come sams, costco, advanta, amex, mbna (just kidding).

um.. although t does not affect your paydex itself, it may affect your DUNS Rating somehow... I have no idea...

but the companies themseleves may not accept an application for X amount of time (90 days?) after they give you a denial.

holy crap! according to the automated service i was approved for staples. i also applied for conoco- who said that i would hear from them in 7 to 10 days or something.

i got

staples

att- pers phone transferred to corp

nebs

viking

uline

ups

funny- today i was talking to a guy at dell- i figured what the heck ill try- but he could not process my application because his computer system was down. i asked him if he was using a dell- he was- thankfully he thought that was funny. i worked in computers for 3 years so i know they are kinda crappy, but they are ok if you know what you are buying and cheap. some good prices on peripherals too- atleast they used to. anyway i will try them on monday and then cool off for a while. this is sweet- thanks to all.

FYI, Call your local phone company small biz division and order a Remote Call Forwarding number, which is a business number that is listed with 411 and in the white and yellow pages. Here is how it works, when someone calls your RCF# (biz number) the call is forwarded to either a cell phone# or other # approved by the phone company. Some phone companies such as Bellsouth, will not allow you to have call forward from your RCF# to a residential number, they will want you to purchase a landline for theses call instead, which cost around $100 or more a month. The RCF# is around $18 a month check your phone company for price.

No 411 listing, but approved for:

Staples - $750

Kinkos - $500 (asked for PG, but no inq.; CSR said pers. credit pulled only if acct. defaults)

NEBS

Viking

Quill

Got declined by PCMall, Radio Shack and Dell for no reporting activity.

FYI: CompUSA and BestBuy both do hard pulls for PG, unlike Kinkos.

It is also called a market expansion line. Our corp "address" is in another state, set up the phone to ring at the local business number. I have to pay long distance, but added that phone number to the long distance plan and have a good rate. Phone line between 21 and 22 including all taxes

This was using Qwest

Jennifer,

I would call your telephone company and ask them how you can be listed in 411. I listed our 800 number in 411 online. This only works if you have a toll free number. I don't know if it worked.

I thought you had to pay to be listed in the yellow pages. They use to call asking us to buy ad space. We never did so I am not 100% sure.

I have been approved for the following (in order) without a 411 listing:

Staples $750

DHL (NET 30 I think)

Home Depot $1100

Office Depot $3000

Lowes $3000

Dell $7500 - (NET 60,lease,finance)

I do have a free DNB but as far as I know, I don't have anything reporting and no Paydex. All of these were without a PG.
