I just got an auto cli from them. 7900-10300; card was opened last November.
-
Just hit them up online Thursday night and requested a 50% increase to 9,000. Got the "call us" message and ignored it, but lo and behold, my CL was 9,000 as of tonight. Figure I'll wait another six months and shoot for 13,500 and then next August shoot for 20k and then let it ride at that.

Repo man looking for auto 1 1/2 after bankruptcy

You're not "in contempt of court" if a lienholder calls you up and inquires as to the location of their property and you refuse to divulge the location. You'd have to be in a court of law and refuse to answer under oath in order for a judge to rule contempt. Now, conversion of collateral is a wholly different matter. -
Sad part is...they won't really care Oh yes they do, branch manager indicated to me that over 500 accounts have been closed already bc of their arrogant actions. Their actions will and have cost them dearly. To all of us who have active accounts, go close them down and show them we don't need their nonsense. It's ironic.... just got aproved for new addison ave cash back visa 10k... 10.5 apr. CYA Chase!!! LOL, they really don't care and it's not going to cost them "dearly". They were thriving before the Wamu acquisition and they'll be fine when all those accounts are closed.

Ha, this thread prompted me to log on to Chase and sure enough, they dropped me from 1500 to 500, after last summer dropping me from 3500. I couldn't care less honestly. I may call them and have a little fun with them, but it's probably not worth my time. My luck, I'll get angry, tell them to close the account and they'll end up closing my Slate account instead. This Chamu chocolate card is one of my two oldest at almost six years, so I really want to keep it viable for another year or so. I plan on having some fun with them now though. I think I'll charge a 50 cent pack of Big Red every month and force them to send me a statement.

After being stuck at a $4100 CL since opening my Platinum>Amex Accel Rewards 17 months ago, and being leery of possible AA as a direct result of attempting to get a CLI, I finally threw caution to the wind and hit the CLI request Tuesday night. I asked for a total CL of $6000 and got the "call us so we can bend you over and maybe even close your account etc. message", but had no intentions of calling. Checked my account a few times Wednesday and found no changes, then logged on this morning and sure enough, my CL is now 6K. I guess there is hope with them! Now if I can just get Amex to give me back what they yanked from me last spring.

I'm getting a "few" offers here and there.

It'll only let me save the gold fico "seal" as an image. How do I save it so I can attach it in my sig? Thanks!

Is anyone still doing 0% APR on Balance Transfers?

I've been getting offers lately from Bofa for one year 0%, but with a 3% uncapped fee. Current Bofa Amex holder with scores in the 780's. -
$50 for an Oil Change You must drive something foreign or expensive. The most I have ever paid for an oil change was $25, DW's are all free because of maintenance package. ...and I thought $20--->$25 was more than enough to spend Maybe $30 if you get the fancy stuff. I wish I could get a synthetic oil change for $30. I pay $30 just for a 5 qt jug of synthetic oil and another $12 or so for an extended life filter and just do it myself.

Infuriating Situation; Auto Loan Lates Need To Be Removed

You do realize you're not "rid of" the negative equity in the Expedition, right?? You rolled it into the new loan. You're now out 25k+the 3.5k you put down for a total of 28k. Sure, you have a newer, nicer vehicle, but you're still upside down. If the dealership gave your friend 19.9k for your current truck when he was trading up to a brand new truck, the wholesale value of your current truck is probably in the neighborhood of 17.5k. And what is the "interest and fees" you reference that total 4k?? You don't pay interest up front on a loan. CANCEL the warranty ASAP. You own a two year old truck with 10k that still has tons of factory warranty left! If you wish to purchase an extended warranty when the factory one expires, that's your prerogative, but do you see how it's not financially wise to be paying interest now on a product that's not going to kick in for several years? The only "fees" you should have had to pay are the tax difference between the two vehicles and registration and tags. -
Just because you can't see doesn't mean it isn't there

LOL, a deletion is a deletion. There is no such thing as a"suppression" of a tradeline on a report. What likely happened was the scenario jtoast presented. Just like if I tried to apply for a Citibank card, they'd know through their own records I defaulted many years ago. -
Wow, how mature. I fail to see how Discover is being "jerks" because OP did meet their requirements. You do realize that a "pre-approval" is not a firm offer of credit, don't you??
