  1. I sent a letter requesting the procedure they used to verify this last week. I haven't gotten my green card back yet, but by the tracking number they got it last Friday. Today it shows "reinvestigation in process". Funny it never said anything as such when I did actually dispute it. I am waiting for any written response from EQ as well as EX as they have this listed and verified as well. On the EX report it showed the corresponding address code for the account....an address code not listed on ANY of my addresses on file. And I haven't had any addresses deleted from them. Why would asking for the procedure cause this to show it being reinvestigated? At least on EQ.
  2. Our company did this type of audit too. You wouldn't believe how much money we were paying in insurance premiums for "dependents" that were not eligible for coverage due to lying about relationship to the employee. If they have any reason to believe that they are paying out money for someone that is not really an eligible dependent why would they not ask for proof? The W2 request is odd though, not sure wth they want that for. The proof of marriage and proof of adoption makes sense. They just want to ensure that they are not spending unnecessary money.
  3. im kinda pissed about this too. i had 2 capone cards each with a $500 limit. on my visa just last month they lowered my % to 14 from 21 or 22. they wouldnt give me an increase on either card, so i just combined both onto my visa w/the lower rate and closed the mcard. now i get these stupid notices, one for each card. and they have the % rates mixed up between the two cards. they are now jacking my 14 to 22 and my closed account from 14 to 17. wtf?? i made sure when i combined....i combined onto the lower % one. i looked at my statements and verifed w/the csr just to make sure. so im not sure if they just printed the wrong account ending numbers on the notices or what. now i have to call and make sure. but why would you lower my rate only to jack it back up?
  4. well i was denied because they could not verify my information on my credit report and some other stupid wording that they couldn't verify, yet in the same paragraph they said i had recent derogatory marks. REALLY? how do you know that if you couldn't verify my identity with the report you put a hard pull on? efftards.
  5. Thanks for the input. I knew they were bad and the majority of the opinions would be to dump 'em, but I didn't realize that a closed account still factors in the age of accounts. That's good to know. I will be calling tomorrow and paying any outstanding monthly fee and closing this account. They suck.
  6. I want to close my stupid First Premier Visa. I opened it in 2003, back before I knew much about credit. It has been stuck with the $250 cl for years. The only reason I have continued to keep it was for its age, but I am really sick of having to pay a bill on it even if I don't use it due to all the stupid fees. It is not in perfect standing by any means. It has had lates in the past. My other accounts that I have are: Capital One Visa $1000 since 2003 Capital One MCard $500 since 2003 (that I combined with my $500 Visa to get the $1000 limit, but it still shows open) Applied Bank $800 since 2000 Store Card $2800 since 4/2009 Store Card $500 since 3/2009 Credit Union Visa $1000 since 5/2009 I assume losing the $250 available credit wont hurt so much as its only $250, but will it really hurt my age? If it will I won't close it, but I wont ever use it. I just hate to pay almost $10 a month even if I dont use it. Any input?

  8. i love those! thanks for the giggle.
  9. why? just why? thats all i can ask. how did you verify this? TU deleted it, why can't you? and by the way you never marked it as in dispute on my report either you jacks. Auto Acct Date Opened: 06/2001 Terms Frequency: Monthly Credit Limit: $0 High Credit: $16,100 Months Rev'd: 22 Activity Description: Paid and Closed Creditor Classification: Financial Balance Amount: $0 Amount Past Due: $0 Actual Payment Amount: $0 Scheduled Payment Amount: $385 DOFD: 7/2002 DOLA: - Charge Off Amount: $0 Date Closed: 12/2002 Current Status - 30 - 59 Days Past Due; Type of Account - Installment; Type of Loan - Auto; Whose Account - Individual Account; ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Closed or Paid Account/Zero Balance; Auto; HOW IS THIS PAST DUE??? ITS PAID YOU SCUMSUCKERS!! not to mention its nearly obsolete. tell me how the h-e-double hockey sticks you verified that it was in a past due status? its not, so you couldnt have verified this with the creditor. okay, sorry. rant over. off to write a letter. i dont know how many times i have tried to get this corrected in the past. at least after finding cb, i have a better idea on how to fight it. i was just hoping i could dispute it off as obsolete this time. ugh.
  10. Hi all, I have a really quick question that is probably totally obvious. But you know those times where you just need another person's observance to confirm your thoughts? Ya this is one of those About three weeks ago I joined a local CU and was sent an email that they could offer me a CC with $1000 limit (I dont have any that high yet) and that I should get something in the mail within 7-10 days. Well today I received said offer and I am kinda unsure if it is in fact a preapproval. It says on the form "You're prequalified. Sign up today!" and it says it's an Acceptance Certificate. So I would assume all I need to do is sign and mail back right? I hate to assume. But in the small print it basically says they "may request consumer reports about you for evaluating this application and in the future for reviewing credit limits, blah blah blah..." and it also says the words "if we open an account based on this application". Does this mean they will pull my credit in addition to what the CU pulled? Elan is closed so I cannot call and ask. And if it was an application, wouldn't it say you're invited to apply for this prequalifed card like all the rip off ones I get from First Premier trying to get me to open another jacked account with them? It says to accept sign and send back, but for some reason the fine print is throwing me off by including the word application. Am I just a complete salamander? Wait, don't answer that. Preapproved or Prequalified need to apply? Sorry I ramble a bit
  11. that would be cool. if i remember when she is on qvc selling her stuff she always says.....pass this cd to your friends and family. so if you can share that stuff why not the e-version as well?
  12. http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=189909 I would assume it's Wells. Yes I know what assuming can do This is on their website: "If you would like to dispute an item on your credit report that was reported by Wells Fargo Financial, please fax us a copy of the specific item on your credit report, along with a letter explaining your dispute to 1-800-231-5089 or mail it to Credit Bureau Dispute, 800 Walnut Street, Des Moines, IA, 50309, and we will investigate it"
  13. Are you looking for the Wells Fargo Financial address? I only ask because there are other things that come up for WF Financial in google. If so, this is the address that shows on my report for them is below. Hope it helps. WELLS FARGO FINANCIAL NA P O BOX 94498 LAS VEGAS , NV 89193
  14. keep remembering how it took longer than 2 weeks to get your credit in that shape... cleaning it up with be a lot faster, but its going to take more than a month. Use the time to reflect on your mistakes and learn from them, so it doesnt happen again... too many here get their credit back then turn around and screw it right back up. I was one of those dummies. Get out of debt, do good, repair reports some...fall. I have done this a few times. I decided a few months ago when I was paying down my debt yet again that this is the last time I will let myself do this. Enough is enough, I need to get my act together. In just 2 months I paid down a big chunk of cc debt that really helped my scores (they still sucked but hey I'm headed in the right direction). I too am impatient. I don't like waiting to be told DENIED-your dispute changed nothing. lol. I just have to remember what my end goal is for myself and keep at it.
  15. "It comes with a great rate and reports to all three credit bureaus" Hmm. Wonder why my unsecured Applied Bank does NOT report to all three credit bureaus? Only EX and TU. If mine wasnt my oldest open account with 8 years age under it's belt I would close it. The % is insane.
