  1. Yes...........this card does seem to be really good. (Chase Freedom Card). If you guys feel lucky...go for it  Good luck. Yes, chase would have been better, but the following link shows that chase has changed its freedom card into perfect card and no more 5% rebate but only 3%. http://www.cardweb.com/cardtrak/news/2003/...3/july/21a.html Now, I think the shell MC becomes better . What is your opinion? Ganesh.
  2. Yes, you are right, my sweetheart used to be a GM employee. But not now. The sad things are 1. 1% towards car purchase or lease does not make sence. 2. Only 1% equivalent of the 5% accumulation on the previous card will transfer to the new card ( I think that's what is written in the enclosed agreements sent with the new card). I will suggest Chase freedom card. Bye
  3. Two days ago, My sweetheart got post from GM,where she found new card from GM asking to activate and forget the old card. It is also there that the percentage 5% will be down to 1% from aug 1st. The old points will be put along with new card but only with a value of 1%. I hope I am clear, Thank you.
  4. Hi the experts, My sweetheart wants to switch from GM card to any other card which gives free gasoline. The move should be made because, GM has reduced its rewards from 5% to 1% which is really bad. I have Shell MC from Citibank in my mind. I know there are great experts on this board about this, I request you all to suggest me some wonderful options. and also the pros and cons of shell MC from Citibank. Thank you in advance. P.S: My sweetheart has an excellent credit rating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ganesh.
  5. I have an MBNA mastercard with low apr for BTs. I use that card only for BTs since I know that if I use that card for any purchase and when I pay the bill, they will apply it to the BTed money and the purchase money will accrue interest until I pay the BT fully. Recently, when I asked for credit line increase, they denied and told me the account is too new (6 months old). I am just wondering, is there any effect of BTIng on denying the request?
  6. Good question! I do not know the answer, but I would like to know the answer. Bye
  7. HI, The emoticons, I am seeing in Creditboards, they are amazing. I never saw them before. Good work, amusing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ganesh.
  8. Hi, Thank you for your warm welcoming. I have been reading this board for a while now. It is a very informative board. I have no negatives on my report, and I have a very short credit history of one year. I have around 12 hard inquiries in the last 12 months and 6 in the last 6 months, I am restraining mysefl from generating new inquiries. After reading many posts on this board I thought, oh, why should not I dispute some inquiries, that's all, nothing to achieve since I am not going to make any big financial decision in near future. May be it is important to tell that I live in Canada but not in US. Thank you all once again.
  9. Hi all, I got a bunch of inquiries on my credit file in the last year. Is it worth enough to dispute them and ask for deletion. Thank you ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ganesh
  10. Hi, The credit card company may report to the CB that the account is too new or not yet used and may give you R0, which, I think, may not help for the score to increase. So, you may have to use it a little bit at least.
  11. HI People here said that this is not the place to look for advice for this type of intent. Lol, you can not see advice in above answers.. then look somewhere else. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  12. Hi, it is not a mystery, The above poster is right. It is a coconut thing. Since, In some countries, there are coconuts which are small and still have lot of milk since the white thing is still forming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ganesh
