Simply navy or charcoal grey suit, nothing flashy, and you'll be fine.

Interesting...Cap One seems to be rolling out some halfway decent offers these days I'll be curious to see if she can get a higher limit card with them since it seems like she's stuck in their low-limit zone. If nothing else, Cap One is consistent Please keep us updated!

LOL, no one is foaming at the mouth. But I wouldn't expect you to know the difference between a debate and a diatribe. Aren't you the same person who lied about being a lawyer till someone busted you on this very board? Or am I being mistaken? You sure are mistaken. I never lied about anything. I am a lawyer, but I don't currently practice law. You don't strike me as the brightest star in the sky so I wouldn't expect you to understand the nuanced differences between the two situations. You're just proving my point that your nothing more than a creepy, stalker-ish troll. Why are you mad, friend?

So they don't double cycle bill, correct? Why you'd list something they don't do as a negative is curious. What company hasn't done something that people don't like at some point in time? Not everyone needs high caps for rewards. Honestly, I have great credit, but Discover and Chase are the only two cards I have with the 5% bonuses. Discover had 5% on Gas for three months, probably had a $300 of purchases cap, don't remember exactly, but that's the current cap. Seeing how I only spend about $300 in gas over 3 months, what better cash back options were there during this time? Penfed, which is notoriously tough to get, and Amex Blue Cash...which I have to spend $6500 to get to 5%, and also not the easiest card to get. What other better option was there? None that I know of, most cards you listed are not giving anyone 5% on anything. Why would I use a "prime" 2% Fidelity Amex or Schwab Visa over a Discover that gives me over double the cash back? Acceptance depends on where you are. Somewhat limited where I am as well, but 9 out of 10 places here do take it. ID? Some of us really don't care about this. In fact, many of the people railing against this could only come up with "it's against the merchant policy" as an argument...which would fail to gain traction in this case, since it isn't. Limits depend on the person. Not everyone needs, or will ever have 50k limits, or even 20k limits. Some people do have decent sized limits with Discover. Not me personally. Once again...I don't really like Discover much, rarely use it. Just amazed at the bashing of them on here. You've got 100k limits with more than one bank apparently. Do you think the average CB'r has that type of credit? If I were to take a random shot in the dark, I'd say the average poster who visits these forums on a day to day basis has less than average credit, and probably can't even get a Discover card, much less You dont care about ID, don't mind low limits, don't care about puny capped rewards. Looks like you and Discover are made for each other. A perfect couple. As MarvBear says, in the car business there is a saying - there is an flowers for every seat. Nope, don't care about ID in the least. They can get all the same info off my license plate at the county treasurer for around $3, and have my picture on camera anyway. There are plenty of ways to get someone's personal info...and quite honestly, trying to remember your address off your DL while you're looking at me is about the worst possible way. Cashiers may not get paid a lot, but don't assume they're all stupid...or thieves for that matter. I'd bet over 90% of the posters that logged into CB in the last week or so would love a 20k limit card. Hell, I bet over half would love a Discover card without rewards, because its an unsecured card without fees. But yeah, let's just assume everyone else is as well off as you or I when we both know that's not the case. Puny capped rewards...what should the cap be? If you purchased $1000 at 2%, you'd get LESS money than using a Discover for $700 at 1% and $300 at 5%. Or you could just be smart and use the 2% for $700, and the 5% for $300. The cap doesn't matter...it's still 5%, and unless you have another card with 5%...well, its still $15 on that $300 vs $6 on the 2% card. Is it ideal? No...but it's still 5%. You chose to ignore the fact that I don't particularly like my Discover card, and rarely use it. I wouldn't apply for it today if I didn't already have it. I just don't agree with lumping them in with subprime lenders such as Orchard and First Premier. This should pretty much be the stock response to anyone foaming at the mouth in a troll-like fashion over "subprime discover" Well done.

To be fair: However, "there are other costs as the government made it possible for the banks to pay back TARP," the chief investment officer at New York-based Offit Capital Advisors LLC, told Bloomberg. "Those costs can turn out to be larger, and their legacy could last longer."

Right, but some people (many) have been jacked to 29.99%. Definitely a better rate than Discover. My 11.74 if horrible. As always, YMMV Citi definitely seems to have "calmed down", however, since that CLD wave last year.

Citi, much to my pleasant surprise, has kept me at 9.24%. They've been good to me.

Opinions are fine. But the term subprime is pretty well defined, and not really a subjective term. This right here. It's troubling that many people here are defining banks in terms that are designated for a completely different class (consumers). Also, the constant self-martyrdom and self-pity is just such a waste of time.

Getting a CLI from Cap One is like finding a unicorn How did you do it?

There's really not going to be much a comeback regardless of low or high FICO scores because the market was a bubble to begin with.

Are there any 0% BT Offers with a Max cap on the BT Fee
Tappanzee replied to picghaw's topic in Credit Forum
This is good to know, thanks. When did you apply/what scores did you have etc? Thanks... I applied this past April with 750+ scores. Creditpulls database suggests something like a 680 cutoff. I had a previous "Junami" a/c that I had to reallocate to open the Priceline (they wouldn't extend more credit than the $27K I have). Barclays is reportedly good with recon if you should be denied. Don't hesitate to call and discuss a denial, should it be received. Thanks a lot. I have 4.8k on a GEMB card that is murdering me on interest right now, so I'm really in the market for a BT MY EQ and TU were 725ish a few weeks ago.... -

Be careful with US Bank. They approved me for a 5k card at 12-months 0% interest (and no BT fee) only to promptly deny me after they claimed they couldn't verify my income, despite the fact that I faxed them some pay stubs. -
Discover Tells Me It Requires Merchants To Check Your ID Now
Tappanzee replied to hegemony's topic in Credit Forum
Strange "article". "she called Discover and was told the ID-checking violated no agreement and was in fact company policy." "We contacted Discover HQ about this and were told that -- unlike Visa and MasterCard, which do not permit merchants to check ID when the card is properly signed -- "It's at the merchant's discretion to request ID." -
