  1. Ok folks let me tell you from personal experience: Depending on what state you lived in, your old debts are probably past the SOL (Statute of Limitations). This does not apply to the WHS/DOHA adjunication process!!!! Even if that debt is gone and not showing on your report; it does not mean that you will be adjunicated by DOD/WHS!!!!! For example: I did not know that I had a bad check for $10.00 (pizza hut) from 2003! It was not on my current reports as a matter of fact it fell off in 2005 report! I still had to prove to the judge that it was taken care of which only cost me $25.00; the funny thing is that I still have the same bank account to date!!!!
  2. I will tell you to please do not think because something negative has fell off your credit report is it a done deal. If you still owe the debt and it can be pulled on one of your old credit reports (yes the governement does maintain this old data) it can still be an issue for your credit worthiness in the adjunication process. I have lived thru this nightmare which cost me over 15K to resolve and I did to my favor but it also took a year to go thru the process!
  3. I've had my card for six month but no CLI yet??? Is this automatically or do I need to request an increase?
  4. Ok so on yesterday I went to a hearing for my security clearance and one of my issues was a foreclosure in 2008 for my principal residence in Virginia. I received 1099A/C for cancellation of the 1st mortgage. I was told in writing by the trustee that foreclosures wipes out all junior liens i.e. the 2nd. However here's where it gets sticky! The second was HOMEQ and they went out of business and told out to in my case OCWEN my 1st! OCWEN has not issued any 1099's for the second. The judge stated that I needed to ensure that the 2nd HOMEQ was not going to come after me for the debt? I have tried to find out more information from OCWEN but no help and HOMEQ out of business!!! I need to somehow prove, I am no liable for debt (if so) but how can I do that if HOMEQ is out of business???? And of course OCWEN is just not caring???? Please help, my security clearance is pending on this outcome!!!

    Captial One

Today I notice that Capital One is finally renamed one of my two HSBC to Capital One! Wonder if I can get them to backdate my current Capital One card to 2002 from 2012? Anyone has a number I can call to make this happen?

  8. So CB family, I have been trying for months to finally figure out what happens with my 2nd mortgage when my home was foreclosed? Now I know!!! I had Ocwen and Homeq was my 2nd! When Ocwen foreclosed, I did get a 1099A and 1099C for the property after it was sold. Just a little background on Homeq. Homeq was purchased by Ocwen so Ocwen...go figure!!! I also entered into a class action lawsuit with Ocwen and yes received a settlement 10.39 check in Dec 11! I needed to understand/determined what happened to the second but found nothing I could use to prove I was no longer liable for the 2nd debt! So I contacted the trustee that sold the property for Ocwen/Homeq and received this regarding the 2nd; The foreclosure wipes out all junior liens. Finally, I have my answers for both of the loans!!! Free from this debt!!! It's been more that 3 years since foreclosure and I am so very happy that I am in the 700's club across the board and have been able to get major credit cards. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

  12. Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I applied for the AMEX Delta Skymiles Gold card approved for $4000, then applied for the Starwood AMEX approved for $2000. I just noticed that they backdated my cards to 1994 when I had a government charge card:)!!!! I'm hoping that will help with my credit history length, which was hurting my scores. Thanks AMEX!!! Already got my 30,000 miles bonus on delta card!!!
  13. I could advise your friend to also join CB and gain first hand exposure to this wonderful site! Experience is the best teacher; specifically, to avoid the pitfalls of bad debt!! Respectfully, by2
