Ours was closed too and we were never late past 30 days, but I believe we were late once by about 3 days. We paid it in full.

You have been to too many PALIN rallies. This is HYPE, and it is political BS! Where were the REPUBLICAN lawmakers when all of these bad mortgages were given out under THIER watch eh? The truth is that there were NOT as many of these situations as you are being led (by the nose) to believe. It was NOT the majority of the people. If it were the banking system would have collapsed entirely and no amount of bailout money would have saved them. No, you were IRRESPONSIBLE. Your unemployment was YOUR fault. You planned on being unemployed and now you must suffer for it. Well, I am glad for your kids but there are MANY people who are not as lucky as you. Its NOT their fault. WAKE UP. So then why are you whining about the bailout then? Why are you crying victim because people are getting bailed out and not just the banks? This "crisis" will not end until the bad mortgages are properly addressed. By the way, some greedy bankers are using bailout money to line their pockets with mergers and acquisitions. read: MORE layoffs after the mergers. Is this what you are defending?

Oh boy here we go...the old "victimology" speech again. Too bad I've never heard that one before... The only people who are "victims" are those that let themselves be, whatever the situation is... You can go through life choosing to be a victim or you can be a fighter..l Stepchild... Most good people are fighters... ... and unfortunately TOO MANY good people have been victims. The question really is WHO are you fighting FOR? Rich greedy corporate executives or for EVERYONE else?

Maybe you haven't been outsourced yet so your CEO can save a few pennies. Do you REALLY think that ALL people who bought a home during this time was SO irresponsible? THINK! Or is it MORE likely that people are being hurt by artificially high GAS prices? Which stayed at the highest levels until the WORLD economy itself began to collapse. And in the same time period just one company EXXON-Mobil made more money than the GDP of most countries on the face of the earth? Is this right? Is this the American way? Is this patriotic? Hungry?!? Go to the supermarket. Those prices are STILL too high! THINK. Ofcourse there were some bad (irresponsible) apples. Ofcourse there were greeedy lenders and mortgage brokers. But not enough to put the WORLD economy into a tailspin. The problem has been the downward pressure on WAGES with the combination of an artifically high standard of living --- BOTH of these situations leading to more $$$ for greedy corporate executives and CEOs at the expense of essentially EVERYONE. WOW you really don't think before you type do you!!!! I went through 5 months of unemployment (rather my dh did) went through foreclosure and BK solely due to not be able to sell our home. We had funds for the entire 5 months, sold stuff to pay for our own move from MI to FL for a job (very happy to be in FL as it is so much better than MI). Dh has great job experience, has all the needed degrees to qualify for his desired position and so on. He took a lower job and then was blessed a few months after moving here to have two job offers that he was able to choose from. We never missed a bill during the lay off, paid for our move and never missed a rent or other bill during the lower paying job just could not afford the house and was not able to sell it even short sale the bank tried to talk the couple higher and they walked. SO YES BEEN THERE DONE THAT please don't assume I don't know what I am talking about. We choose to rent a house we could AFFORD in dh's new salary and are very happy to not be stressed!!!! Tammy You were IRRESPONSIBLE. Too bad I couldn't tell you that when you were unemployed at your LOWEST point during your foreclosure and BK when you obviously took every conceivable precaution. THIS is what you are doing to others when you call them irresponsible when they were a victim of this economy just like YOU obviously were. THIS is what you are defending. THANKS for making my point.

Well, it seems to me that YOU should apply for a loan modification yourself and stop WHINING. Not EVERYONE was irresponsible and bought too much house. In fact it has been the exception and not the rule. The mortgage crisis has to be fixed NOW before the economy collapses completely and we ALL get put out of work. So what happens if you DO lose your job and then you can't pay for YOUR house? How would you like it being called IRRESPONSIBLE under such circumstances when you clearly were not? How would it feel? Would you seek a loan modification until you found work? Still feeling old fashioned? Like I said before although there were many people buying more house than they could afford, this was really the exception and not the rule. Stop buying into the hype. Not everyone bought too much house than they could afford. People are losing their jobs. If you haven't noticed the cost of living is rising much faster than your paycheck and it has been for a while. The roots of this housing crisis was the GREED on Wall Street and is being caused by the rise of OIL and GAS prices and the general economy and the oppression of WAGES by greedy corporate CEOs. The root of the housing crisis is really at the supermarket and the GAS pump. Not people seeking too much house for their wallet.

Hello Tophie, that is truly amazing. With scores in the 400's how were you able to obtain all of these lines? I can not imagine you being able to PG any of these? As far as Credit Cards, we have only been able to get Office Depot. Even Staples wanted a PG from us.
