  1. That was it, thanks so much, hegemony!
  2. I haven't been active on creditboards in the last 6 years or so, but when I was actively cleaning up my credit, I remember I took the advice that was posted here to post on a website a consumer complaint about an unfair mark on my credit. IIRC, you could leave feedback for different corporations on it, and they showed up as 'open letters' so you didn't post any personal information on it. I tried searching for it here but couldn't find the appropriate link. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
  3. Congratulations. I agree, Citi is good to you if you're good to them. Stay in their good graces. I used to have several citi cards, then made the mistake of closing them out as I was trying to get a handle on my debt. Around the same time, I didn't realize it was time to start making payments on my student loans, so got 3 30-day lates (3 separate student loan accounts). That did it. Even though my scores are in the mid 700s now, I still can't seem to get a citi card. Oh well.
  4. Have you tried PFB?
  5. So, what's the tip in getting more than $200 c/l? This toy card is annoying. How long have you guys had the card before getting an increase? Was it automatic or did you request it?
  6. They sent me application and told me that I could apply in-store with instant credit decision.
  7. You should send a non-PP letter.
  8. How did you contact Sprint PCS? The Sprint PCS collections (sold to Cavalry) was a bogus account I never opened. I'm not sure who did or what happened, but I DV'd and didn't hear back. I disputed from the CRAs and they came back that it was verified. I tried PFB on Sprint as well as CMRRR to the address I had for Sprint but have yet to receive anything from Sprint. At this point I've 1. Disputed the debt with TU,EQ and EX. I heard back from TU (in response to PR, they said it was frivilous), EQ (verified) and EX (verified). 2. Sent the DV to Cavalry. 3. Sent the verification letter to Sprint PCS. 4. Tried PFB with Sprint. I haven't heard from Cavalry or Sprint. Tips? At this point, I want the collections off my credit report. I'd rather not pay anything or negotiate some kind of PFD. I've been searching the boards but couldn't find any success stories with PFD with Cavalry. Has anyone had any successes?
  9. bump afaik disputes aren't going to hurt your credit. recently i disputed. and then had my loan guy pull. said i'm still in the mid 600s. exactly where i was before i disputed.
  10. Depends. Here in North Carolina: Appraisal Fee Attorney Closing Fee Survey Title Insurance Termite/Home Inspection Loan Application I might be missing some ...

    DOLA

bump ... So does DOLA apply to the date that the CA purchases the account from the OC?
  12. I'm pretty sure I was approved with 200 limit with a score of 613

That's considered a reinsert right? So you then have a violation if they do that.
  14. Guys, So I'm rethinking my strategy on this fradulent Sprint PCS account that Cavalry has purchased off of Sprint. They are reporting collections activity in 2/2005 and 4/2005. I see from one of the credit reports that DOLA is 7/2002 and in NC where I live, the SOL is 3 years. So as of 8/2005 this year, I should free to write the SOL letter right? Should I just wait? Or should I still try the DV / 1-2 punch etc? Tips?

1-2 punch eh? I'll have to try that ... from the sounds of it, not many ppl have tried the PFD. I'm still figuring out how to word it. Do you send a letter indicating that you'll Pay for Delete, and wait for them to acknowledge and then pay. When it doesn't fall off, then sue?
