Planning to buy a house, no idea what to do to get ready
staranyway replied to creditland's topic in Credit Forum
A lot of helpful information regarding the mortgage process can be found on the CreditBoards Mortgages forum. -
You may have lost FICO points due to inactivity.

In Florida, many licensing websites are slow to update. I would wait. Or you might consider calling the licensing agency. They can provide the current status by phone.

Congratulations, gina130.

There is no problem, Centex… Sometimes people do not direct much attention to their Macys statement or they have their account set up with a small auto-pay… I did not want anyone to get burned with a $35 fee due to oversight… plus… some days it’s not the big things in life that annoy me… it’s the buttons…
-
Just opened my latest Macys statement… Changes in Account Terms effective Sept 29, 2010 Late Payment Fee: $35 Returned Payment Fee: $35 Minimum Payment Due: the greater of $25 or 3.25% of the New Balance rounded up to the next dollar or 1/12 of the highest New Balance on your Club Account (whatever that is). Payments received by 5pm local time at the address shown on the statement will be credited as of the date received. Of course, you have a choice to either: Like It - accept the new terms or Lump It - you will not be able to use your account for new transactions Macys is now as bad as the banks… laughing… not that it really impacts me… I Pay in Full and have for ages… I do not like the recent game Macys is playing regarding not reporting limits… and it annoys me that nowhere on the paper statement or online statement is there a notation of the 4-figure limit… (creeping back up from the irksome time when Macys dropped my limit down to $100 because they decided there were too many months in a row without activity). so… what’s the point… I think I am pretty much through with Macys now… on general principle… I just have not enjoyed the business relationship lately…

3 FICO scores & 3 CRA'S Reports w/o monitoring and bs

Updated discount codes for FICO scores are listed in Pinned Topic 1: http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?s...&start=2550 -
18% I would want a credit card - secured if necessary - from a credit union… one where there is an option to add funds to increase the credit limit. I would want the same card to become unsecured when scores improve. I would want the APR to be lowered as scores improve. I would want the card to report to EQ, EX, and TU.

wonderful news, lbjones. congrats

building one credit card per financial institution may achieve a higher credit limit. also... it is nice to avoid having all of your eggs in one basket. back ups are good. we like back ups.

Okay, I'm a grown man and I seriously want to cry....

plus... as you pay off balances on the toy cards... along with the increase in points you will gain for lower utilization... you will gain extra points for fewer accounts reporting with a balance... -
Is it better to use a Mortgage Broker or go direct to bank?

How many credit lines does Wells Fargo prefer for you to have?
