  1. Yeah I've also read that they were difficult to get rid of. I'm just surprised that they replied to my letter being that it was outside of sol. I'm just going to send them something like Sassy's 623 letter and see what happens. I would also like to address them sending the letter to the old address. I would love to ask them why and if they were maliciously not try to send the letter to me. But I know I can't. Is there any law or statue that they broke by not sending their response to my address that was clearly in my letter?
  2. I sent this company a 1-2 punch and why chat's sol letter combination. They sent me a letter that they are "unsure as to the nature of my request." The first 2 sentences of my letter states "This is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is disputed. This letter responds to your verification of this account on my Equifax, Experian, and Transunion credit reports." At the end it basically says to prove that I owe you. In their letter they also say that if I would like copies of historical statements and other documentation for me to fill out their request form for my convenience. In their form they want me to put my full name, SSN, DOB, and wants to charge me $2 per statement, payment checks or original credit application and for me to sign and date. Another problem I had was that they sent this letter to my old address. I moved 2 months ago. I have changed my address to all my credit cards and the letter that I sent them had my current address. Luckily I'm still getting my mail forwarded to my new address. However USPS have emailed me letting me know that they will stop forwarding my mail 12/31. And to make sure that I update my address because I would not receive any mail sent to my old address. The thing that I don't understand is if they had my current address, why didn't they send me any kind of communication. I've never received anything from them during the CO, but it could be my fault during that time I lost my job and was moving from my brother's place to my parent's house looking for a job. Should I respond with a broad 623 letter similar to Sassy's or Jack Attack? And, how should I address them sending me this letter to my old address? I just want them to mess up so I can go through BBB and CFBP and get this crap deleted. Any help would be appreciated?

  4. If your scores are above 680s (from PSECU, DCU, Walmart) but have some baddies like old COs and a CA. Would they want you to take care of them before getting approved for the mortgage?
  5. I tried my lowes to 5k but no go. Went online and got a cli of 1000.
  6. If you don't need the money, then I would go for it. I just got unsecured after having the card for 22 months. I applied for the cash rewards (starting cl 1k) after having the secured card for a month.
  7. I just got a letter saying that my secured cc was getting unsecured. I had the card since 01/2011. I sent a secured message to them asking to be unsecured on September this year but it was a no go. On the letter it said that my limit was going to be 1k but I checked online and I still have the 5k limit. The only thing different was that the "Secured" part was removed.
  8. I too have some COs but I wouldn't want to poke the bear too hard bc they can can still sue you
