  1. I transferred money from my Chase account to my NFCU checking account about a month ago to pay my cc bill. Yesterday, my card and online access was blocked. I called in and the reps stated I needed to speak with someone in the Security Department. I spoke with a security rep and he states my access was block due to suspicious activity on my card and suspicious transfers from JPMorgan (I only transfered once) on a new account...account been opened since July...transfer occurred in August what the hell is up with them questioning me about that over a month later? Anyone else experience this?
  2. Yes, the account will change to a positive in around the end of January. You've waited this long, might as well let it stay and reap the benefits of not disputing...(negative to a positive).
  3. Got major choppage from EQ between last night and this morning. 69 softs gone! Uhh! I only had 1 hard to B*.
  4. Just got off the phone with a very friendly lady. She signed me up for a checking and savings account on the spot. Just asked what my fathers name was and which branch he was retired from. Other than that, it was standard questions about myself. I'm thinking I will make a small deposit when all the info comes in and about a month or so later I'll apply for their credit card (fingers crossed). The CSR's aren't the ones that determine final membership eligibility. Be prepare to provide documentation to support your eligibility. If your father wasn't actually retired (20+ years in service) and receiving military pension (not VA benefits) then you will not be eligible and the security department will block your accounts/membership.
  5. I concur. Sorry, Beli, your response also came off as "snappy"and "rude" to me as well. A bump is a bump, it doesn't matter which "characters or smiley faces" are used to bump a thread...they all serve the same purpose.
  6. I just received one from an a joint account w/ wachovia that was closed 10 years ago. I'm thinking of just ignoring it since is past the SOL for reporting anyway or should I send them an unknown dv anyways?
  7. Received a letter from HSBC stating my account CO 2/07 but is reporting closed 11/06. Here is how it's reporting on TU balance: 0 High Balance: 562 Account Type: Revolving Payment Status: Payment After Charge-Off Collateral: SLD TO PORTFOLIO RECOVERY Date Updated: July 28, 2006 (note this was previously reported updated 10/07) Date Opened: 04/2006 Date Closed: 11/2006 Date Paid: 06/2006 Received a letter stating the account CO 2/07 and was sold to Portfolio 09/07. I requested verification, their response was they only have statements 90 days prior to the CO date and they don't have a paper application because it was done online. I disputed this account with all 3 bureaus and EQ and EX promptly deleted. TU verified with new information. The account was previously report as follows: Balance: 0 High Balance: $523 credit limit: 0 Account Type: Revolving Payment Status: Charge Off As Bad Debt Date Updated: 10/07 Date Opened: 04/2006 Date Closed: 11/2006 Date Paid: 06/2006
  8. I'm in...any others? I think we should get together and have something done about this. If they are not going to report accurately they shouldn't be reporting it at all. My BK is also listed as Georgia Federal Court which is not the actual name of the court and is incomplete...there are several federal courts in GA.
  9. I'd be willing to sue if they don't report 100% accurate and complete information.
  10. You admitted the bankruptcy was yours although it contained errors. Right.. it is mine. I don't have a problem admitting something is mine, but what I have issues with is them continuing to report errors. I don't see why I would have had to deny my bankruptcy(when it's easily verifiable through Pacer) for them to either delete the entry, or correct their errors. Even if it is yours, if they are continuing to report errors per FCRA they HAVE to delete the entry. (I forgot which section it is in, and have to go back and look) Not to mention, if you do a "not mine' which is also not recommended by this board you're more likely to get slapped with a Fraud Alert.. specially disputing something such as Bankruptcy. Technically, if an item contains errors, especially a docket number it's not yours. I think you should have end the letter stating " I demand that this inaccurately reporting bankruptcy be deleted" instead of " delete MY bankruptcy from MY credit report". The later doesn't provide a STRONG reason for demanding deletion and definitely doesn't imply any inaccuracy in the reporting hence the reason they may continue to verify. I'm actually going through a similar situation with a bankruptcy with TU. They are reporting an incorrect docket number...when I enter the docket# as shown on my TU credit report into pacer it returns no results or no matches. How would disputing as "not mine" not be correct? Technically, it's not mine since the docket number is inaccurate and not complete. It's not my fault they can't enter chocolate right. It's not my fault Pacer is not returning any results with that docket number. If a public record doesn't exist with the docket # they are reporting IT IS NOT YOURS. Therefore, disputing as " not mine" is a valid dispute reason. Again, I think they continue to verify because you basically admitted it was yours and TU can report Chp 7 and non voluntary dismissed Chp 13 bankruptcies for 10 years which I think is BS.
  11. IMHO, here is where they got you... You admitted the bankruptcy was yours although it contained errors.
  12. same here.
  13. For the online dispute, I just disputed as "not mine". For the written disputes, I disputed as "I have no knowledge of this account" or "the account number doesn't match my records" and also disputed anything that was incorrect about the trade line using the Jack Attack method. Initially, the accounts came back as verified with Experian, but they never had my actual address on file. I sent them a letter requesting that they add my address and remove the others because they were not mine. Once my address was added and the other addresses that didn't belong to belong to me were removed, then I called back and disputed again over the phone with the Fraud Dept. that's when they removed everything I disputed. I also removed my middle initial from my name and that's how the BK was removed as well.
  14. still not working today...rep said it would be back up at 8am.
