    worked tip top here.
  2. I would also really appreciate it if someone could PM me a goodwill email address contact for Chase. Especially the executive contact.
  3. I've added more than one AU.
  4. Jesus. Back to strategic apping and time to relearn patience. Edit: looks to have been primarily us FL folk
  5. have there been double chops before? could our resident experts with chime in?
  6. Chopped Jan 17th too. Preparing my ski mask for any ensuing panics
  7. You have to give us an accurate picture of your credit report for us to answer that question. If you have a spotless credit report go for the BofA secured card otherwise try credit unions around you, Cap1 secured, or Orchard which are much easier to get.
  8. I like that, gonna start using that phrase right there. Stay off the phone with collection agencies. Send a debt validation letter, although at this point its probably untimely to do so but it never hurts to try. I don't know the SOL of WA state but more then likely its out of the SOL so is you're biggest concern this being on your credit reports?
  9. Thank all you guys(ladies) for responding. I'm grateful.
  10. I'm very curious about all this. In the U.S. I've never had this happen but this happens all the time overseas and I never gave it too much thought. Overseas, this happens at gas stations and McDonalds for example. This is standard operating procedure for many companies from what I can tell. For the locals, they accept their cedula or ID card. Happens quite often in developing countries in Central and South America.
  11. You've had your cards for a while too haven't you? How did you go about using them the first month?
  12. Is that ideal use for a first time Amex cardholder with two new accounts? Truthfully speaking, I wanted to make them my primary cards but I guess I need to start slow since Amex is do delicate. It'd be great if I could just grab them when they come and start charging an average of $1,000/month per card.
  13. Thanks for your reply. What's conservative to you? I was planning on running about $1,000 through my gold on the first month, same for the Zync, maybe less.
  14. Bob you know best about Amex (read: you're the legitimate CEO of Centurion Bank pretending to be an average consumer) so I won't cancel the Zync. I'll let you all know how this works out for me in case of a F/R.
  15. I filed electronically about a week ago. Is that good enough? I've always advised using AGI from 1040s, and nothing else. Adding on unreported or unverifiable income is asking for trouble at F/R time. Interesting - doesn't everyone normally ask for your gross income before taxes? That would be before deductions, right? See, that's where things get tricky. On a 1040, there is Total Income. After adjustments that becomes Adjusted Gross Income. After deductions, AGI becomes Taxable Income. For me, there is a significant difference at each step, so I just use AGI. All the more reason to avoid a F/R. Bob I'm just getting my foot in the door with Amex and applied and got approved for my first Amex, a Zync, but decided to apply for the PR Gold card too since the Rewards program is better and I wasn't sure if I would get approved. I ended up getting approved for both. This was all in one day with the whole on hard, multiple applications. To avoid a F/R would it help to call and cancel the Zync account or does it even matter at this point?
