  1. Question regarding being an AU. All of our good trades are under me and only one under my husband. We are trying to qualify for a home and need him to have at least 3 good accounts. I called NFCU to ask about adding him to my card as an AU and if they report to the bureaus for him as an AU and he said no I would have to add him as a joint not AU. Is he mistaken? We are trying to avoid inquiries
  2. It figures... It was CashNet USA
  3. If the sue me am I responsible for the court fees? It wasn't a fraud thing my bank acct was overdrawn and the bank closed it. Yes it was done online.
  4. So do I tread lightly? This is the first contact I have ever had from this debt collector and still have 30 days to request validation right? They never sent me a letter or anything just the phone call. Can they still sue me if I request validation within the 30 days?
  5. It was an actual pay day cash advance
  6. Need some help ASAP! In 2006 I did a cash advance, at this time my husband and I were losing our home. We let everything go to save the house including this advance. The default date is 12/15/2006, I'm in California so SOL is 4 years right??!! CA called and is sayin it's being turned over to an attorney so an affidavit can be secured and they can pursue on court. Am O correct are ash advances written agreements? I did it online. I don't want to be sued for a $300 debt... CA Is asking for $500+...... I want to call her back an tell her to send validation and C&D from calling me until I get said validation but am afraid she will pursue the court aspect. Please help! TIA
  7. thanks, I thought so too, but was hoping someone cleaning up had some experiece. We are actualy going to be applying for a VA loan since my husband is a vet and we haven't used his VA status before.
  8. I posted this in the foreclosure forum, but was hoping someone here might have some input since we also need to get this off our report if even possible....here is the post So we lost our home in 2006, home sold at auction in 2007 and DH and I have been rebulding this last year in hopes of buying a new home end of this year, sometime next year. My question is has anyone out there bought another home after a foreclosure? The foreclsoure is only listed on my husbands credit report and is toting a $39,000 balance, we are now searching for a lawyer to see about how to handle that. They have not come after us for the balance but the mortgage guy I've been talking to (how has been "helping" me) said the no lender would give us another loan with that unpaid balance and he suggested we settle, pay like $15,000. We are in California so its a no recourse state and we cant be sued and I DO NOT want to pay that balance after all the stuff we went through, but I want to know if anyone has succeeded in buying another home after a foreclosure. Thanks inadvance and I have this board to thank for where my credit is now!!

  10. We are in the same boat and have no clue what is to come. Our home was foreclosed on in 2006, sold at Auction Oct 2007. Our credit report is showing a balance due of $30,996. We have seen no paperwork or deficiency letters regarding this balance owed and we need to get this off our credit report. Do we owe this and to who?! We are trying to buy a home this year now that we are more stable and I fear this is going to bite us in the rear. HELP!
  11. Hi All! Credit clean up is going really good. I just paid for myfico today (have CCT and USAA) but wanted to know my real scores and was pleasantly surprised. What I need to know is if there is ANY way to get my real Experian? I need to know what my middle score is. DH and I are hoping to buy a home or at least be pre-approved by years end and we want to know how close we are. Any guidance is appreciated… thanks for all the support and guidance; I couldn’t have gotten this far without this board!! MYFICO scores are TU/EQ: 624/602 CCT/USAA scores are: TU/EQ/EXP: 593/593/602
  12. We got ours about a month ago and filed online. Should be interesting to see what comes of it. We werent planning on anything, but after reading more, we would be glad for something...athough I cant seem to figure out what class we fall under, the notice didnt say??
  13. I just got a letter from Experian today in reference to my letter dispute, I chose to Jack Attack all trades and names...and this is the snipet I got from that EVIL company: "We received a suspicious request regarding your personal credit information that we have deteremined was not sent by you. (WTF??) This could be deemed as deceptive or fradulent use of your information. We have not taken any action on this request....BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!!!!! Question: What do I do now? Does this mean they wont except any snail mail disoutes?
