What do you guys think?

2005 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner Double Cab LongBed V6

SG SR5 #6 Package

MSRP $24,785

I paid:

$20,495.00 -Price of Car

$45.00 -Document Preparation Fee

$1694.55 -Sales Tax CA 8.25%

$28.00 -DMV electronic Filing Fee

$212.00 -License Fee

--------------------------------

$22,479.55 GRAND TOTAL

I paid the car off all cash. But am wondering why they still pulled Experian on me. Is this normal even though I am not financing?

Let me know what you guys think of the price. Truck runs like a beauty.

Think your price was ok.

Sometimes when one pays cash the dealer will run a credit report for verificiation purposes. We do that for the IRS cash reporting rule, $10,000 and up cash transactions gets the form filed.

I am looking for a Tacoma Access Cab with the TRD package. It retails on the lots for 25K and I have 1K in negative equity in my trade in.

Any hints on how you got the dealer to come off the MSRP so drastically? I know there is about $1500 difference in Invoice versus MSRP but what other factors in price reduction might I bring up when negotiating the deal.

Thanks

I read the local Saturday Newspaper. LA Times (Los Angeles, CA)

Saw the price, went it..checked it out and bought it. Price seemd awesome to me.

They didnt budge on a discount from newspaper ad since it was so cheap.

Check your PM's. I just pmed you a link to a VERY VALUABLE tacoma/tundra forum. You can check prices and talk about off-roading and all there.

Ask to see the invoice...........

offer a certain amount of profit whatever you believe is fair..........

They will accept or decline.............

Usually newsprint prices will be the lowest nonnegotiable price.

PM's for unsolicited links behind the scenes are frowned upon.

If a link is to be shared, I prefer the sharing of such in the open, so that all my benefit. IMO outbound links are questionable without first being vetted via creditboards. It may be a link containing usefull, beneficial information, or it may not be. FWIW, toyota products pricing is very regional in nature, and if one lives in a geographic area close to another area serviced by the toyota distributor, pricing may vary substantially. I would sincerely be dissapointed if any of our cb'rs were misinformed.

Its a TRD enthusiast forum.

I knew links to other sites are frowned upon, there I told him I'll PM it.

No harm intended.

FWIW, the site talks about off-roading. tundrasolutions dot com
