So last night my car was broken into.

Along with my GPS, I had some hospital paperwork in the car that had all of my personal info. :(

I want to prevent any identity theft, so should I do a fraud alert or a freeze while I'm doing credit repair/rebuilding?

I don't plan to apply for an auto loan til December. I'm just letting my cards grow with time. I'm now fighting the occasional junk debt buyer that pops up on my report as my CR continues to improve. (currently waiting on my EX report to fight Midland).

What is the best course of action?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

if you know for a fact that data that could be used for ID theft was stolen I would put a freeze on your four major credit reports. Do you have a police report?

Yes I do. Do I call each one and tell them to freeze due to theft and give them police report number?
