Do you have to live in the area where there Banks are located? I know it's recommended to go to a branch to open an acocount, but they don't have branches in my area. I wonder if anyone tried online.

From what I have been told.. US Bank will not open account for those that do not live locally

Hi. I live in Texas an opened. US Bank account online with no problem. I had to send in a copy of my ID just to verify my identity.

Does US Bank have any branches in your area? How do you handle you banking services with them?
