Is the hard copy CR gotten for free thru acr.com the same as the hard copy you pay for?

Hey all,

I just received my hard copy report from EQ in the mail today. I had found the annualcreditreport.com website before I found CB and through their links I was able to get my free yearly report from EX and TU online, but EQ refused so I ordered it via snailmail. As a result, this is the first hard copy report I've seen (though I wish now that I'd ordered them all this way).

My question is, is the *free* hard copy report thru annualcreditreport.com identical to the one I'd receive if I just went to EQ's website and ordered a paid hard copy?

I'd like to make sure this is "good enough" before I begin writing my dispute letter.

Thanks!

Never been there...

Do the credit reports from EQ and TU and EX not work for you???

Disputing???

Only use copies direct from THE BIG 3

Not that THE BIG 3 know what 100% accurate is...but they are better than 3rd party reports

The only hard copy that exists comes directly from the CRA, on paper. PERIOD

Maybe I didn't make myself clear.

Federal law allows everyone to get a copy of their credit report from each of the big three for free once every 12 months. The website they set up to facilitate getting these free copies once a year is annualcreditreport.com. When you order your free yearly copies you have the choice to request them to be mailed to you FROM THE CRA ON PAPER or to view them ONLINE.

I chose to view them all ONLINE, however EQ refused to show it to me that way and insisted on mailing me a PAPER HARD COPY which I have here and am referring to.

So.

I have here a PAPER HARD COPY OF MY CREDIT REPORT FROM EQ.

IS IT WHAT YOU ALL KEEP TELLING ME TO GET OR NOT.

Yes, it's a full hard copy.

Here's the skinny, though... The federal law that required the CRAs to give these away free gave some concessions to the CRAs (naturally).

If you dispute referencing one of those free report numbers, you have fewer rights. You'll have to double check this, I think that they have longer to respond, and there may be other things.

Thanks! You're right, they can take 45 days instead of 30 to deal with my dispute(s) if I go from the free copy.

I'm very glad to know this is the FULL hard copy. That is exactly what I was asking, thanks again!

Thanks, I was confused at first... I thought maybe I didn't explain what I was trying to ask properly!

The reason I'm asking is because the only thing on this particular report that's bad, aside from lates on a SL, is a (default, sewer served) judgment. There are inaccuracies to it that I want to JackAttack. Wouldn't dare dispute it online, that's for sure!

(Anyone know what happens to the TL once I file a motion to vacate? Anything? What about if the motion is granted?)

Thanks again!
