We're trying to modify our loan. It has been a long process. They are always claiming that they need another piece of information. Like today, we got a letter in the mail stating they have not yet recieved form 4506-T. I know I sent it and have the documentation in my face. Oh well, I'll resend it. This process is taking forever. We had our first trial payment in July. Today I saw that I had an alert from CCT and Citimortgage has updated with TU showing us 120 days late!!!!! I know when we initially signed up for the modification there was some verbiage in the docs that stated that they may still report us as past due. We're relocating due to a job promotion and because of our poor credit, we will have to rent since there's no way we can get a good rate on a loan. I have started the credit repair process, but this new ding on my report makes me so sad :)

Hey NaturalLove

Lenders are always losing documentation and always wanting updates throughout the process, so hang in there and fax it again.

Once you complete the modification you can request they correct their reporting to the agencies, and if you make progress make sure to get it in writing for later years just in case, and it happens, it shows up again.

One concern I had, is that you no longer are living at the property, it could void the agreement cause it is probably a requirement that it remain your primary resident.

Be careful!

Thanks for your responses. I realize that a big shop such as Citi probably loses faxed documents all the time. We're mailing the requested docs today CMRR :)

The thought of them voiding the agreeement if I move has crossed my mind a thought or two. I've looked at the trial docs and don't see any reference to that, but realize that it's possible that would be part of the deal once a final decision is made. I do have to move - we're relocating to GA. I will request that they remove that information from the CRA's.

Thank you again.
