I was told to put this over here..so you may see it 2x (under Credit and here)..

How do I fix this? My student loan was updated and is now deferred when I re-enrolled in school. TU and Ex show it correctly, but Equifax not only shows the correct new deferrment but still shows the collections. Can I get the collections removed?

Correct: (Suntrust Bank)
Condtion: Open
Balance: $3315
Type: Educational
Past Status: Current
Past Due: $0
Opened: 01/2004
Reported: 06/2009

Incorrect: (Collection account showing)
CLC
Condition: Derogatory
Balance: $0
Past due: Late 120 days
Balance: $3350
Open: 01/2004
Reported: 10/2007
Defaulted loan - claim filed against guarantor

Did you rehab or consolidate after your default? This tradeline is being reported by a lender/servicer... once you default, never changes so it is reporting correctly.

Rehab? I did have to renew the loan with the lender, sign note etc and that's what is showing with the correct line. My question is what do I do about the old entry still showing? TU & Exp updated it correctly. Equifax added it as a 2nd entry & kept the old one too.

Equifax IS reporting correctly. Your lender is entitled to report your default ....they do not have to remove it. It sounds like you did a rehab.

Ok thanks. So both lines will stay? That was my main question. The updated new deferred loan as well as the default line?
