I know interest rates for Stafford Loans are mandated, but many banks/organizations offer deals, such as rate reduction if you have an account, if you sign up for automatic deduction, once you've made so many on-time payments, etc.

Can anyone suggest any and/or give me their opinion on them?

Thanks

I believe these rates reductions only apply when you consolidate your loan.

I went with Navy Federal because of the origination fee (was low), and because after 24 on time payments (I think it was) they lowered your interest.

But... you have to be a member or be able to get into Navy Federal.
