My boyfriend and I have had a joint checking at Webster for years. I have had my little checking also for years(before BF) at a local credit union. Being unhappy with Websters fees and such, BF opened a new checking at BOA. We don't owe anything to any bank, but have a few nsf's in our past. BF did a booboo at xmas time. Unfortunately, both of our names is on these accounts. I'm thinking we should just keep our webster account and close BOA. I'm not liking the stories i'm hearing. We have not used BOA yet. Should I just close it? I think this too many accounts. Any horror stories from Webster anyone? I'm sure they must report to Chex. We tried a few years ago to get a checking from Citizens Bank, and they said no. I'm gussing any accident he makes will affect me?

yes joint accounts can be bad because you are responsible the same as the the other account holder. Are you in CA, what Webster bank? I would not close either account if I were you.
