Hi-new here and on 05/30 my nsf account with TCF went to collections-the loss retention department at TCF stated they reported it to Chexsystems as well for "excessive NSF". My questions is-how long before my name is on Chexsystems? Is it immediately or is there a waiting period of some sort? I am waiting on a background check for a new job and I am so worried that this may have affect on whether I get the position or not. I did file for a free consumer report online hoping that it could be emailed but at looks as though it will come in the mail-thanks!

There are some banks that report to chex before the account is even closed. Generally it is within 30 days but there are situations where banks wait for years and then report. With TCF, I would guess that they would report you within the 30 days ..so chances are , it is already there.
