Hello,

My basic situation is this: my credit is really bad with a recent repo. I have a relative with good credit willing to co-sign, but they reside in another state.

Is it possible to do this considering the person would not be able to be physically present during the transaction?

Is it probably easier/better to try and do this with an online financing company (Capital One, Household, etc.?) where financing is pre-arranged?

Last question-- will my bad credit overrule the relative's good credit, to the point where an approval wouldn't be possible?

Thanks!

Thats why I have a Fed-x account. It is easier if the First person on the application has the best credit. However that may be difficult in your case, because some banks may consider THAT person to be outside their lending area.

As a general rule of thumb, in the car business good cedit does not compensate for bad credit, however YMMV.
