For your name to come off Chexsystem database.

 

Scenerio:

 

Say I would like to clear up an account that I had at this particular bank. I paid the bank in

full, but I have an another account that is also in Chexsystem. I cleared that one up as well, but I can't open account with BANK#1, however BANK#2 states I can open an account with them. How long will it take for my name to be alleviated from chexsystems?

 

Will it be a right away situation or do I have to wait? How long do I have to wait?

Paying off the debt owed will not remove you from chexsystems. Your name will remain on chexsystems for 5 years unless you pay for deletion. If you attempt this, MAKE SURE YOU GET IT IN WRITING. the reporting bank is the ONLY one that can remove you from chexsystems. It is your right to file a dispute but there is no guarantee for removal.

 

Yes there are some banks that will make exceptions if you do not owe any debt. There are some that will not open an account whether you pay off the debt or not. It really depends on the bank
