As you may know, wifey and I were looking at the Pacifica and IT IS a very nice car. Unfortunately, I personally did not think it was roomy enough for us (Me, wifey, my boy and two DD's). The passenger space is very very good, but no luggage space.

Anyway, we test drove the Town & Country mini van and we both like it very much. The fact that there are SEPARATE SEATS is wonderful and will help with our sanity with the kids on longer drives.

We decided on the LX model for $29,500.00. There was $5,500.00 in cash rebates for the '04 model. My payoff on my Jeep was 4800.00 and they gave me 3800.00 for it. (Originally, it was $3200, but I started bitching about the "ADM" charge of $699.00 and they gave me an extra credit on the Jeep to make up for it).

Additionally, I let them run my credit with the understanding that if they shot-gunned my CR all over the world, they'd be kissing a sale bye, bye. They ran it once through "credCo" and we were approved for Chase @ 5.9%. This was great because I insisted wifey should be on the loan so she would get a good trade line.

They pulled EQ and my Auto Enhanced FICO was 681 (still a $3K balance on my Fleet card with $5K CL which is being paid off middle of March). Wifey's auto enhanced fico came in at 541.

So I take it congrats are in order!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Job well done my friend.

Enjoy the van and I hope we helped a little bit.

Well, they didn't want to put wifey on at the 5.9% rate so we told them no thanks. Then wifey and I talked it over decided to get a cheaper, used model and put up with the higher rate (12%). Well, we actually decided on an '03 Town & Country at $21995.00 with 14K miles on it (program car) and wifey said just to put me on it so we could get the 5,9% rate. In return, I am to up the weight on her diamond engangement ring by at least a Karat.

The nice thing is that by going with the program car, I we were able to get a much nicer model LXi instead of LX which sports leather interior, the automatic side doors and back lift gate and a few other niceties for a lot less. We get the remainder of the warranty (a bit over two years) and we of course get the 7 yr/70K mile powertrain.

F&I guy said that because it was a program car, we didn't have to pay the normal fee to transfer the warranties. Not sure if that was true or not...

Not a bad dealer though. They took off the crap charges like "ADM" when I insisted and didn't even try to sell me credit life. Go figure.

I traded my '95 Jeep Cherokee that had a balance of $4800.00 and a kelly blue book of $3,200.00. They gave me $3800.00 and tacked the remaining $1k onto my load with Chase.

All in all, I'd say I was pretty happy with the purchase. The car has a lot of really nice features, warranty and only 14K miles. It rides and handles very nice as well.

Glad you got that!!!!!!!

The warranties are automatically transferred via Chryslers internal system.

Thanks, Marv.

Chase likes my car business, just not my credit card business ;)
