I have consolidated all of mine and dh's student loans. The amounts on the cr were brought down to 0 but many of them still are being listed as open or derogatory and not listed as paid. We are trying to gain some points here and I am assuming that these are keeping things down. There are so many of them listed this way. Should I just dispute them as paid and transferred to another lender or as just paid?

Thanks!

Were these in default?? And exactly how is it listed. What was the date of consolidation?

If they were in default they will report paid collection, which is still derogatory.

I can completely understand the derogatory information, however, they are not even listed as being paid. The balance is $0 but it is not $0 and paid or event tansferred to antoher lender like many of the others. Any input is appreciated.

Knowing when they were PIF by consol would be helpful. Knowing exactly what proof you have that they were PIF by consol would also be helpful also. Are you only looking at CB reports, or have you checked NSLDS as well?

I have checked the NSLDS and everything is zero except for the 2 student loan consolidation accounts. I have also sent the cra copies of my consolidation paperwork that they always say are insufficient. I am at a loss. I consolidated to get this closed, but I still have headaches with these things. Any suggestions?

Thanks
