New to Medical and Hippa Please Help

Ok like a lot of us or a good chunk of us it seams like we have some sort of Medical bill that has went into Collections like outside Collection Dept.

 

About 2 yrs ago a Medical Bill went to a Collection Dept. I has for verification of total amount due. I was sent a packet from the Collection Dept which was a screen print out from the Original Hospital saying my Kids name with different procedures that he has a the dentist office ie caps, crowns, fillings. It also had on there my wifes name with different procedures like blood work, the birth of our son. It was listed what there cost was

For Example:

 

Blood work 300.00

Insurance 150.00

You owe 150.00

 

Would this be part of a Hippa violation?? Keep in mind the debt is correct far as amount due and they have already been paid. Was kinda in a pinch to get them paid or I wouldn't of been able to get our house a the rate we did.

Are the collections for dentist or Hospital? Is this a NC hospital?

This is for a Clinic Bill with some Dental on there too. Unsure of the NC Hospital, but we are from Wisconsin if that helps.....Thanks

ok with the name of dukeboy I was thinking Duke Hospital in North Carolina as in Duke university. I had a contact person if it was Duke.
