My Own Personal Victory

Today, I made The Call to find out if my loans have qualified for rehabilitation (13 on time payments over the last 13 months). It's never a "done deal" ya know ... and I've been nervous the last thirteen months that they wouldn't receive a payment or I would not qualify, etc. If you can think of a worse case scenario when it comes to rehab, I have imagined it being even worse.

 

So anyway, I made The Call today. And I am happy to report that my loans have been officially rehabilitated and I am out of default. They are scheduled to be picked up by a bank in Texas on the 28th of this month. And I have never been happier in my entire life than I am right now.

 

I feel like I'm making an Oscar acceptance speech, but there are a few people who need to be recognized; without them, I never would have made it this far. Ziggy, fla-tan and Cheech (wherever you are) ... snowpuppy and centex ... I'm sure there are others, but the four of you have been instrumental in my success. I am incredibly grateful to each of you for your advice, instructions, support and shoulders you gladly let me lean on. Thanks guys!

do you sign to a new interest rate or does the rate you committed to before remain with the loan ?

 

 

a friend told me he is obligated to the interest rate and terms of his previous loan.
