Hi,

I recently got back together with my EX bf because my mom is moving out and I need to move out on my own. Well my bf and I went to the Honda Dealership to try to get me a car. I filled a credit application out and they ran my credit and said no because I have too little credit history and I have a history of delinquencies and collections. Well my bf then offered to do a co-sign for me on the car but he explained to the finance manager that he quit his job to finish building his house, and that he has no proof of income all he has is his credit score and report. The finance manager then came back and said that he could'nt have me on the application because of the fact that he had no proof of income. The finance manager said that it would look suspicious to Honda Finance if it was a joint application. His score was 629. They approved him with a 5year term at 9%. We did not work out and now he wants me to get the car in my name which I dont know if I can... Anyone have an idea on how to do this??

You will need to call AHFC to ascertain the payoff amount first.

Then you will need to apply in your own name for a loan amount sufficient to payoff AHFC.

Might probably need to get a bit more, because registrations needs changing from his name to yours.
