I paid my CO before finding CB, Verizon Wireless CO stopped reporting over 2 years ago. Anyone get a CO deleted after payment?

Update: My paid in full Verizon Wireless CO were deleted or they fell off 24 months after payment, i didn't ask questions.

That's what it has on my report. I've been trying to get these clowns off for sometime now. They won't budge. I changed phone numbers from one state to another and I didn't know at the time that NYC bills with one section of the company and MD/DC/VA bills with another. Long story short: I find out AFTER its been reported to my credit report, that the $100 balance from my NYC bill did not automatically transfer over to my MD/DC/VA bill when I changed numbers and that I owed this money. So after several attempts at disputing with CRA without much success, I'm going to send them a PFD letter. Hopefully that will work, because they're really getting on my nerves.

Out of the blue I just received a letter from a MCM collection agency offering to update my account as paid, if I pay 60% of the balance. Verizon Wirless is still on my report and they update monthly. MCM is not on my credit report. This account is about 3 years old, so waiting it out will be a long time.

 

Anybody have any new updates on Verizon Wireless lately? I can not believe they would rather play these games rather than take $1800 that I would pay in a heartbeat to get it removed.

I tried PFB. It didn't work. Now I'm working with BBB due to my situation. I'll keep you posted. But they are TRULY a sticker. I hope everyone who got screwed from them socks it to them when the other comm companies get access to their networks or frequency.

MCM is Midland Credit Management. I got the phone call on an old Verizon Acct earlier this month, then followed up by a letter, offering a 40% discount to 'settle'. I am firing off the first DV.

 

Can anyone direct me to a listing of info on SOL's for different accounts per state on the site? I looked and cannot find it. Is Verizon considered a revolving account?

A weird update/fluke

 

I sent MCM a letter stating this is not my debt, I am seeking validation in accordance with the Texas Finance Code, etc. letter. I faxed it and sent by CMRRR. I looked at my CR this morning and noticed that Verizon Wireless is gone from TU. It has never appeared on Equifax, so ist just stuck on EXP. Does Verizon remove the TL when they sell to a CA? Or is this a Transunion glitch? Theories?

Its been two weeks and the Collection is gone from TU, but still remains on Experian. MCM wrote me back and stated the account number and the last 4 of my SS line up- so its my account. I expect for them to do something soon. I still have about 3 mos. before this is out of SOL. I have thought about contacting Verizon again and letting them know that the amount they say I owe is weong and I will pay them a reasonable amount and for them to remove this thing from my CR. My attempts to do that previously were denied. They are oneof two baddies I have and I would be rolling into the 700 club!
