  1. I received a medical bill from a collection agency. I sent them a letter stating that I was disputing the amount and I wanted an itemized bill. I also informed the collection agency that they needed to send the bill back to the hospital because I was not giving up my HIPAA rights. I specifically told them I was not giving up my HIPAA rights to them. Today in the mail, the collection agency sent me an itemized bill that included all of the medications I took, the names of the test I took, all the labs I took, and the consults. Clearly this is a violation. How do I proceed?

  3. Some of these fees are ridiculous. My employer bounced my pay check and the bank charged ME 20.00! How fair is that and they would not remove the charge.
  4. I had a loan equity with Bank of America . My loan was forgiven under the Department of Justice principal forgiveness program. They say it was a charge off. I think BOA received money from the federal government for this loan. They are reporting it as a paid charge-off. They said they cant help what the credit bureaus call it. Are they right? They sent me a letter saying the loan was forgiven. I don't agree it was a charge off -it was forgiven ! THey released the lien- would they release the lien on a charge off? The loan was not late when they did the "charge-off".
  5. The loan was not a charge off- it was forgiven. They said that is the term they use and that is what they report to the credit bureaus.

  7. I had two new collections that came off of my report and my score went down 20 points?
  8. Portfolio has a chargeoff on my report and a separate judgment for the same account. Can they do that?
  9. CFPB is the bomb! Everyone should be using this free resource, especially for items that are not legit.

    CFPB

Please, please if you are having problems with any company the CFPB needs to know about it. They might not get right back with you, but they are keeping records. They called me about a well known company that I made a complaint on 2 years ago. They asked about what health concerns I had encountered and how much did it cost me to deal with these people.
  11. When you call TU what are you saying to them because they always tell me they cant delete for7 year because of the FCRA. Thnaks
  12. I have two charge off accounts that will expire on 5/2017. I was wondering if it is too early to dispute them off of Transunion? What are your experiences? I read some of the thread however I don't have time to read 90 pages!
