FTC Complaint

How long does it usually take to hear a response from an FTC Complaint, either from the FTC or the party in question?

 

I placed an FTC Complaint after being advised to by WhyChat for a HIPAA issue I am having with EX (surprisingly). The complaint was placed online in which I received a reference number to the complaint on Dec 2nd, 2009. I still have yet to hear from either agency concerning the matter. What would you do?

That's probably a question better asked in the HIPAA forum. If you are asking about a general FTC response, I've never received a response from an FTC complaint and I've filed several.

Yeah, I updated my HIPAA thread in the forum for WhyChat and other HIPAA gurus, but this was more or less meant as a general FTC complaint question.

 

I don't expect HIPAA complaints with the FTC to be longer than the normal credit complaints, which is why I felt like I could get a good answer here as well. I was also unaware of anyone who did anything about an FTC complaint that did not receive a response and what they did to get a response?

The FTC complaint webpage specifically states that it does not resolve individual customer disputes.

 

I read that as "don't expect a response."
