okay - i looked at the app and it asks for a SSN and does not ask for a EIN or any business info like that. i reread the fine print and it sounds like it reports to a personal credit report. though i have a capital one business card which i'm pretty sure asked for a SSN and pulled a hard but that one doesn't report. basically i'm back at square one LOL

okay - i have a guess - can you please take a 2nd look and choose XJ8. then see if they ask you if its a XJR as an option?
-
thanks for checking does that mean that basically not enough XJRs were sold to make a statistical sample?

to answer the questions and make some comments: 1) i assume a PG is necessary and that I will get hard inquiries on my credit reports. fine with me. 2) the offer was a preapproval, with a credit line up to $30,000. 0% to start until August or so of 2006. i think the interest rate would then be around 15% or so. 3) i called to see if the card reports to my personal credit report. the person i spoke to had no idea and could not point me in the right direction to clarify this. 4) i am out of town right now and do not have the app in front of me so i cannot answer the question about if they wants my SSN. Again, to be honest that is irrelevant to me. 5) the marketing materials stress that its for business use only. my OP was to try and verify the reporting and to which type of account (business/personal).

anyone have this or gotten an application? i got a preapproved card with up to a $30K credit line. I called to see if it would report to my personal credit report and the moron in India had no idea and could not tell me who would know. I think it does report to your personal credit based on the legal terms on the back.

I think that would work against them. The longer it takes us to pay off the balance, the more interest they make. i believe that when the increase in the minimum payment was discussed in 2003, the credit card companies lobbied to keep off the payoff time estimation. they knew that it would cause a lot of people to pay down their cards quicker when realizing they are faced with 20-30 year payoffs...and therefore they would not make as much $ in interest...

i know there are some really good lease deals on that particular model right now - something to think about.

i'd go to your a bank that does a lot of construction financing - tell them you need to finance a condo conversion and see what kind of terms they will offer you. you may be able to purchase the building with normal multi-family financing and do the conversion at your leisure.

D Gayle - what ING did is do a 'AVM' apprasial or 'automated value model'. it is really just an average of the sales in the area adjusted for your zip code, SF, etc. i'd definitely appeal or do whatever u need to do for them to accept an appraisal done by a real appraiser.

i just got a quote for a 4-plex at 5% down and 7.125% for an amortizing loan and 7.5% for an interest only. don't know the lender...got the info from my mtg. broker.

i can tell you that Washington Mutual has some very favorable rates for that product type. if you put down at least 25%, maybe 30 (i forget exactly), recently they had ARMs under 5%. probably in the low 5s now with the recent uptick in rates. give them a call direct to see what they can offer you.

i bought my jag 2 years ago via Cap One finance and couldn't be more pleased other than a rate a bit higher than i wanted. but they gave me the best rate i could get at the time. they issued me a blank check which worked fine. no issues or problems and i have automatic monthly payments set up.

this is only a guess on my part...but i think that since you are self-employed you cannot claim lost wages. you would have to have business interruption insurance of sort to get paid. again, this is only what i think you will find out.

oops! sorry about that QSM!
