  1. Thanks guys I really appreciate this…. I do want a new car… maybe it would be best to get a 2 yr lease like Daddy said… My only concern now is the fact that I might not get it because of lack of credit history…. Is like fighting against myself… I don’t know what to do because this is a matter of time…? Any advise on this matter? I have to tell you this much, when I joined Credit Boards I was on the road of improving my credit. I started out with EQ 577 EX 524 TU 587 and now EQ 690 EX 690 TU 654… I have to say that this has been a GREAT IMPROVEMENT…. Thanks to all you guys here… YAY…
  2. Your car is NWPU! With those conditions they would not get anything at a aution if they were to sell your car. Once the car is RP, they sell it at an aution at blue book value. 9 out of 10, the company doesn't even get 10 to 15% of that blue book value.... Is just simply NWPU.... BTW your account will be noted with NWPU (not worth picking up) is not a repo account although the attempt was made

  4. Hello Credit Board… Questions on a car lease (2008 Mitsubishi Outlander SE 2WD) I have contemplating about doing a lease on a vehicle because this will be my first time buying a car. I have been working on improving my credit scores. Currently I stand with EQ 690 EX 690 TU 654…. I stopped by my local Mitsubishi and I explained to the sales man that I wanted a 3 year contract under $300.00 but not $299.00 either…. lol This is what they offered me on this car considering that the price of it was almost $24,000 originally and it was lowered to approximately $21,000. Term: 60 Months Monthly Payments: $289.00 Due at signing: $3,000 (this includes tax, blah blah) I was told since I was at 690 giving that I was so close to 700 that they actually gave me a T1 credit offer. I personally think that this was not a good offer at all. No one would sign a 60 months lease on a car. He said that the terms worked out this way because my credit is young and I don’t have much of a history… It will be hard to find a bank that will issue this line of credit to me. I was a bit upset. He recommended curing this. I was advice to get a different car for a year. He showed me other SUVs around 18k and told me to get it for one year and then bring it back to him and this would improve my credit history. WTF??? I was puzzled because I have never heard of such things. How can a bank give me credit for 18K but not for the other amount? I don’t understand….
  5. Nice....
  6. Well that makes sense I only have this one negative account Account Name: FIRST PREMIER BANK Acct Type: Credit Card - Revolving Terms Acct Status: Closed Monthly Payment: Date Open: 4/1/2004 Balance: Terms: Revolving High Balance: $395.00 Limit: $0.00 Past Due: Payment Status: Legally paid in full for less than the full balance Credit line closed-consumer request-reported by subscriber And no matter how much I tried, I can’t get it removed. I even called them to ask if I was able to pay the other amount that wasn’t covered due to settlement with an agreement if they would reported as paid as agreed but no, they don’t even want to do that. No wonder they got sued by the State of New York for being crooks in the first place. I know you guys talk about not giving up. Quite honest, I feel like giving up with them. I don’t know what else to do. But coming back to my last name here, can some tell me how to get this done? I mean can they even do this? They are taking way to long for this.
  7. Hello guys I need some advice Over a month ago I got in contact with EQ because that had the incorrect spelling of my last name. The rep gave me her fax number and I faxed her copy of my driver license and copy of my social security card. I made sure that it was a clean clear copy to prevent any delays. The next day I contact EQ once again just to make sure that my fax was received. They told me yes and that they will update my last name. 3 weeks after that I got in contact with them again to check on status and they told me that nothing has been updated yet and that this might take 1 month to do so. Today, I pulled my credit report with them to find out that my last name is still the same, INCORRECT. Why do small things like this have to be such a pain in the, you know where. ? What else should I do? Does this really take a month + ? This is really squeezing a lemon me off. This is a big delay with my current credit repair goal. Thanks in advance.
  8. HAHA Nice
  9. (Adds First Premier's comments) NEW YORK, Aug 15 (Reuters) - First Premier Bank agreed to refund $4.5 million to settle a probe into the marketing of credit cards to consumers with poor or no credit histories, the New York State attorney general said on Wednesday. The South Dakota-based bank will also pay $105,000 in penalties and costs, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's office said in a statement. The company also agreed to reform its billing and marketing practices, the AG's office said. In a separate statement, First Premier said it disagreed with the "characterizations made by the New York attorney general." "These were common business practices within the industry and we discontinued these practices on our own initiative a number of years ago," Premier Bankcard Chief Executive Miles Beacom said in the statement. First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard are sister organizations under the holding company of United National Corp. The AG's office said its probe, begun after consumer complaints, found First Premier Bank lured customers by falsely representing that they were pre-approved for a credit limit of up to $2,000 at a 9.9 percent fixed interest rate. The bank also told consumers it would not charge a processing fee for opening an account, the AG's office said. But most consumers received a credit line of $250 to $300 at a 9.9 percent interest rate that could more than double without notice, the attorney general said, adding that the company also billed $178 upfront fees for processing the credit card application. Most consumers reported their balances ballooned within a few months, in some cases from $20 to $400 due to hidden fees, the AG's office said.
