  1. I got the form on my Citi AA MC and my AA AmEx card got this message: We have already received a Credit Line Increase request on this account and cannot process another one at this time. We will notify you when the first request has been processed. During this evaluation, a credit report was not pulled on your account. Thank you for using our website. I haven't requested a CLI EVER on this account. Why would I get this message?
  2. What cards have you applied for?

    Closing

That's how I am, too. --- As I stated, they're store cards.. cards I'll really never use anyway. They weren't helping THAT much. My utilization jumped form 72% to 77% by closing the cards. My plan is close all cards I don't need and keep maybe 4 or 5 Prime Cards that I already have and as I pay off my debt, increase my limits with my prime cards and just keep those. I'm just wondering if closing these cards will effect me negatively short tern or long term.. I'd imagine my scores would bounce back as I pay off more debt, but I didn't know how quickly they would bounce back... I'm assuming it'd just be as quickly as I pay off my debt?

    Closing

So.. I met my goal to pay off my store cards and I accomplished this my last paycheck. There were four of them and I closed them all today after the payments posted. My utilization is ridiculous, so I was curious.. closing four cards in one day, with a total CL of 2100$, do you think this will hurt me or help me? .. Signature states my totals available to me now without those cards.. and my utilization is 77% for only my revolving accounts .. I'm mostly wondering if just closing all these cards at once will hurt more than help.. not too concerned about closing 2100$... Just curious on your thoughts:) Thanks
  5. I thought I had a lot before.. 58 at the most.. My DH LOVES to buy new cars.. while we've been together, we've had about 6 new cars.. and have shopped for a LOT more than that.. I b* most of mine off.. got to 13 before I was kicked off TU. If they're not tied to an account you currently have now, I'd dispute it, or rather, try to have them merged.. *as the others have said, obviously*. Trust me though, IT'S NOT THE END!!!! I'm on my way back up the totem pole. Since I met my DH, I've gained so much credit.. I didn't have a single CC, and I got 17 after I met him.. now I'm paying them off and closing them .. it's not the end!!!
  6. If you have any DDA accounts with Chase, generally I've seen that they'll 'pre-approve' you for an additional card when they rate jack you.. we have the ability to combine cards, so generally that's how I sell my cards to customers by offering the additional card and then when they get the card, they can call the combine the available balances.. it sucks getting rate jacked, but it happens.. Fortunately, I've never been and my utilization SUCKS. I just paid off 4 credit cards today and I'm still at like 45 - 55% utilization.. it's ridiculous.. ... eh - point is, call the 800.935.9935 (retail) or 877 242 7372 (online) number and see if your pre-approved..
  7. Working for Chase, I haven't heard anything about them offering AmEx or Discover in the future.
  8. I just got it today.. yay.. it's exciting.. 40 thousand miles.. here I come!!! ** technically... 60,750.. yay..
  9. Citi AAdvantage Mastercard or Citi AAdvantage Am Ex card -- they also have a business Citi AA card with the offer.. I was just saying the AAdvantage card.. you can choose MC or AmEx for it.. it's rewards, it's a good offer.. -- I love citi alot, but they're standard APR is ridiculous.. the annual fee is pretty high, but I travel a LOT, so it pays for it self, so I don't mind the annual fee on either of my AA AmEx or MC.. They're being really generous right now.. my AA AmEx is maxed out.. only like 100$ left on it with a 5K limit.. and I got an instant approval for the MC the week before last for an additional 5K.. plus, I had about 13-15 inqs on my CR, too. I've seen they're likely to pull EQ most often.. in my experience.. that's all they've ever pulled for me.
  10. I have a Platinum Visa... that's about all I know about B of A.. I'm not a big fan of them.
  11. Maybe it's because they're processing so many approvals lately.. lol.
  12. Go for the Citi AAdvantage MC or AmEx -- they have a promotion til the end of November for 40K miles.. I just got an instant approval for 5K and my credit could definitely be better.. Plus, I have a maxed out AA AmEx with them, already and I got the instant approval for the MC online..
  13. Citi AAdvantge offers miles that you could earn through car rentals... and redeem miles for car rentals, too: Here: http://www.aa.com/apps/AAdvantage/ViewMile...partnerType=Car
  14. I've seen so many posts about Citi being pretty generous lately.. After my cancellation from TC due to "possible fraud access" or whatever -- I was pretty much screwed with b* off the extra 13 inquiries.. I was down from 56.. or close to -- I was b* to apply for the 40K Mileage Offer for their 20th anniversary offer.. I was pretty positive that I'd get a decline, at least for too many inquiries.. but I saw all the posts here lately.. and thought WTH... may as well, I guess. So I applied about a week and a half ago.. ....... I got an instant approval for 5K ... I just sat there and stared at my screen in amazement.. completely thinking I wouldn't get anything at all. Keep in mind, my utilization is like 56%.. never any late payments, or CO or anything derog, but my credit could definitely be better. Now I have something I can pay all my bills with and earn all these miles.. yay DH applied for the same card.. he didn't get an instant approval, however, he found out today he was approved for 5K himself.. this is his highly CL ever that he's been approved for. He's had a few CO and collections on his CR, so he was really shocked when he was approved for 5K. I'm just excited that I get to have the chance to build up 80k miles!!! Lol -- Anyway -- I was really just wanting to see with everyone else.. how long was it til they mailed out the card? Like I said, I applied a week and a half ago, at least -- and it was just sent out today, as well as DHs. My Citi AAdvantage AmEx took like 3 days to get, so I ws just curious about everyone elses...
  15. Congrats OP and all others approved recently. I've been waiting to apply for another AAdvantage card.. I have the AmEx -- and I REALLY wanted the 40K mileage offer. I read this and thought.. since TC kicked me off for too many credit pulls, no better time than now since I cant b* any more inqs off. I got down to 13 from 56 in a little over 2 months.. so I applied and I got an instant 5K. I guess, OP, thanks for the inspiration to apply! Lol
