I just got a checking account at a US Bank location inside of Vons in Mira Loma, CA. 50.00 minimum to start & Chexsystems must not show "account abuse" or "Fraud". It was quick and painless-thanks to everyone!

so if it should have charged off in mar of 04 what recourse do I have now? Is this legal?

This was charged off on my CR back in Sep. of 2005. I have had credit monitoring since then and every month, it comes up repeatedly as "new negative" through the service. It always gets refreshed. Is this legal? if its not, what would be my best plan of action? Thanks everyone!

I bought a vehicle back in Jan 2003 (financed through fireside bank) and made the first few payments, then my ex left me and I was fired-in the same week. As a result of my tough times and lack of credit knowledge, I ended up getting my vehicle repo'd in September/October of 2003. Since then, it seems like it is reported monthly on my report as a "Charge-off" and as a "180 day late". My question is, is this legal? I thought it could only be charged off once. And can they keep reporting it as 180 days late every month. Please help- I am a single dad who is trying to make it with a 5 year old girl and I am truly at my wits end. ***** I took ths chart from my Experian credit report **** 81-Month Payment History Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 2007 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 CO 2006 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 180 2005 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 180 180 180 180 180 2004 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 120 2003 * * * * * 30 30 30 60 90 * Thank you- me and my 491 credit score look forward to being the greatest success story CB has ever produced!

I have a question which im hoping someone here can maybe help with. about 4 years ago, I was going through a bad time (break up, daughter went with ex, blah, blah) to pay for court fees, I had to forego everything, and my car was repo'd. Then in 2005, it was finally charged off. It is now 2007 and Ive just noticed that it comes up as being charged off as of May of 07. Can charge off info be re-newed? If not, what can I do?

I dont think I have a choice-Im a single dad! is there anybody who could give me a shot? I dont have anyone who would co sign, and all I want is a second chance You didn't answer the question I asked. You do realize if approved what a horrid predicament you will have placed yourself. If by doing so, would that predicament be better than the one you are currently in? Don't go buying a car just because you think it's gonna improve your credit file. There are easier/better ways to accomplish that, than an automotive installment loan. the only reason I'm trying is because my current car is having transmission problems. Otherwise, I loved my little car. ** also, I think I made a mistake earlier- the blue book value for my car now is 2500, and my loan still has 5k remaining. so I believe I am upside down about 2500 dollars, correct? -

That loan reports to file? How do you intend to handle the negative equity? yes, quality financial does report to all 3 bureaus. If possible, I would like to add the 5k that is on my current loan to whatever my next loan happens to be (if possible) if not possible, I honestly dont know what I would do. also, I forgot to mention a charge off that was just added last week on the repo. -
