Well I am not real sure about this I called and found out that according to the us dept of ed I don't have a loan....never did. I thought that I did and the other crap that the collection people have is right, I think but I am not sure about the dates that they have and I dropped out of the school. I called the school and they say that my loan was paid in full, I have requested a letter from the school stating what they have in their computer. The dept of ed loan guy told me to go online to some website get a pin and then print off some paper to send to the collection people. The school had my ss number wrong in their system so it is likely that they have the wrong number as well, can this help me at all? I am totally confused! Now do I admit that it is mine and make arrangements or wait because the collections guy was going to request more documentation? I guess that I should wait and see what if anything he comes back to me with, right? BTW they said that the amount owed was about $5,000.00 which is $3,000 more then the loan...ugh

I had a student loan years ago and I mean like 16 years, that I defaulted on I get a call tonight saying that they knew where I work and are going to garnish my pay...wth? It has been a very long time....I have no idea who has held it for so long but the collection place called a few weeks ago to my place of employment. Is there no way to get around this? After all these years I had forgotten about it, thought that it was part of my bankruptcy when I divorced my ex but it wasn't. I would hate to find out what the late fees are after all this time? Why would they wait until now to look for me to pay the loan? I am going to try to send a letter but I'm not sure how much good it will do!

Think about it. Which would you rather have: A great report quality wise or High scores? You are right and my scores will come back better then before...thank you I have removed 6 baddies using this method it has worked very well for me!

I used Jacks method along with the 1-2 punch and got awsome delete results...and from what the pp's have said I will get my points back and then some.

I feel so much better about this now....thanks I only have 2 more baddies left on this report, to be clean.

Ok that makes sense yes two of the ones I got deleted was really old and one was my oldest account....so I guess that I keep pluggin away and hope that it will rebound in a few months.

Equifax removed 4 out of my 6 baddies using this methode....I am very happy with that but my score went down 8 points with it...not understanding that at all.

I got 4 baddies removed got the letter in the mail yesterday and my score went down 7 points??? My revolving is only 38% and going down every month, no new inquiries. So why is this happening? I just don't get it....gggrr

Thanks I am sending off a second validation letter to the CA's and a method of verification letter to TU...btw my score went up 27 points with those 3 deletes....woot

I just today in the mail got the results of my dispute, woot I got 3 baddies off using Jacks method but there is still 4 more that I need to get off....so the question is how long do I need to wait until I can dispute again? One other question....one of the ones that didn't come off just got sent to a CA from the OC I sent a letter to the OC not the CA...should I send one to the CA...I didn't get a letter from them but it is now showing up on my report?

Thanks I will wait out the week and see what happens...I mailed the 1st letters out cmrrr, yes I have my green card and a copy of the original letter I sent them and of course the letter from EX....oh the wait the wait is killing me!

How should I wait it with be a month next week since I sent the letters to the CA's?
