Ok I think I am finally finished with my unplanned app spree. I just got off the phone with Discover and they approved me for a $2000 limit Discover Miles card with a 0% 12 month introductory rate, and 12.99% thereafter. Discover was my very first credit card in college, and it ended in a charge off nearly 13 years ago. I honestly didn't expect to ever get a Discover card again, so I am pretty stoked they approved me.

The Amazon card was a Chase product apparently, and they said that since it was just opened it made both accounts ineligible for a CLI for 6 months. Since they rate jacked me to 29.99% on that card I figured they didn't need my business.

I plan to do that, is it best to app for all 3 in the same day, or should I spread it out a bit?

Thanks for all the kind words, I hope everyone here has a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!

Decided to continue pushing my luck. Just applied for a Kay Jewelers card, and was approved instantly with a $5k credit limit! That is double my previous high limit from yesterday hehe.

I've been a member here for several years now, and the information I've picked up in that time has been priceless. When I first started this process my scores were in the lower 500s, and after several years of hard work I am finally in the 730s with no credit card debt to my name. This past week has been a high point in my credit repair process, and I felt the need to share all I've gotten done. The biggest development was that I was introduced to a local credit union, who have been tremendously helpful. I really wish I would have found them long ago. They were able to: - refinance my current (upside down) auto loan of $17k from 13.5% to 6.5% - finance a second auto loan for $3k at 6.5% - refinance a citi financial unsecured loan (horrible decision) of $7k from 24% to 11.5% - grant me a $2k credit card with a fixed 11.5% rate After the good luck with the CU, and feeling the weight of those crappy loans lifting I decided to press my luck: - applied for Kohl's charge card and was granted $650 on the spot, may not seem like much, but the feeling of applying for a card in store face to face and not getting declined was awesome - applied in store for a Menards card, and was granted a limit of $2500, my highest to date - requested a CLI on my Citi Rewards card and was approved, from $500 to $2000 - applied for an Amazon rewards card and was approved, only $400 though Finally, with all this extra credit, I decided to ditch the remainder of my sub prime and low limit cards: - called and closed Credit One account, $1000 and $79af - called and closed 2 HSBC accounts, $500 limit on each and $79af - called and closed a Chase account, $500 limit This may not seem like much to some of you guys, but this is the first time in my life it feels like my credit score is working for me, and not against me.

My fiance and I bought a house in early August, and have made 3 mortgage payments now. So far, nothing has shown up on my credit report. Does it typically take a while before it starts reporting?

I'd really appreciate a PM as well. Thanks for all the hard work markca!

It's ridiculous to charge customers to pay their bill. I've always used my bank's electronic bill pay service - it's free that way. You know, that's such an obvious solution I'm embarrassed to not have realized it before. I've been mailing in paper checks every month all these years.

Would love to be made a member please, been here since Jan 2006. Haven't felt the need to post much, but reading the site has been a tremendous help in rebuilding my credit.
